Trying out for the first time and created two clips.

TikTok is apparently all the hype now with Gen Z, so may be a good way to reach out, even to promote POD for instance or talk about the photo industry developments like AI.

Or perhaps just a giant waste of time, not sure yet but willing to experiment. Anybody having success?

Wrote a blog post on it which shamelessly includes a link to my channel on there.

I'll give it 6 months promoting my travel photos/videos and if that fails I'll put on my dancing shoes! :D

All the best - Alex

I somehow have great doubts that TikTok has the right audience. According to their own stats 43% are between 18 and 24 years old and seeing as TikTok is full of teens and even children, but they have an age restriction of 18+, I suspect that 90% of those who claimed to be older than that during registration are even much younger.
People go there for short dance clips and stupid challanges, not to buy images. A better place to promote content would probably be Instagram, though I also doubt that's very fruitfull.

Brasilnut, I do not quite understand how to sell videos through tiktok. Probably it is necessary to insert links to this video in stock agencies.
I think the same can be done on YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook.

I have 45k followers on TikTok account full of aerial timelapses. Tried to add Pond5 affiliate link on my profile but never got any luck.

Some ship timelapses are popular but normal aerial clips only get few hundred views. Its not very good channel to promote your portfolio in my opinion.

Here's my channel: https://www.tiktok.com/@jamoimages?_t=8XILuZvGCNK&_r=

And if you add a link to the video on pond5 in the description of the video in tiktok?

And how on Pond5, do they often buy laps from a drone?

It is not allowed to add link in video.

No, the drone timelapses don't sell any better. However, couple of times I've got to sell some clips directly to a client who had seen my clips on tiktok.

On YouTube you can add, on Pinterest you can, on Twitter you can. You mean there.

And on Instagram, you can also add links to the video.

Yes, tiktok is not the network where you can advertise videos from stocks. Only unless to find buyers directly.
But, perhaps, you can add your nickname on the stocks to the tags, and also indicate the stock nickname during registration. Then people will be able to search by this nickname and find you on stocks.
Perhaps you did.
