Was travelling recently in Spain.  Now processing Photos and uploading to Personal site.  This is link to Cordoba Photo Album:

https://autumnsky.zenfolio.com/p424590562

None of this has been uploaded to Stock - yet. Looking for some Feedback before I start.

- What would you upload?
- What would you NOT upload (not good enough, too good, whatever reason)
- Is there an Image you'd make Alamy exclusive?
- Sky was replaced in Photoshop on couple of photos.  Can you tell which?  Is it too obvious? Looks unnatural / crap?
- Any other suggestions (in Terms of Microstock)?

You can assume sound Technical quality (Full Frame body, L lens most of them)

The only advantage of being Alamy exclusive is that they can chase up unpaid in-uses. That can sometimes be fairly lucrative, sometimes not so much, and sometimes they can't get blood out of the stone, even if it's in one of the countries they try.

I've only spent one day in Cordoba so not much of a sample size. Would love to go back and spend more time.

Anyway, here are my best-sellers from that warm autumn day.

As for what goes where and why, I would suggest to place any pics taken inside a museum as Alamy exclusive RM. Also artwork. Lots of micros don't take them.

Also lots of museums prohibit commercial photos without permission so best to keep it at one agency. At micros they will go to dozens of distributors and you lose control of the assets in case there is a problem...plus not much upside.

Otherwise a good collection. The tourist buses should sell. Wouldn't expect many sales from that batch but perhaps enough to pay for a nice dinner after 2 years.

Great tips, thank you Alex.  I got some real good photos later on from places like Alhambra in Granada or Seville Royal Alcazar that fall under same category as Mezquita in Cordoba.  Think I will follow your advice re Alamy

Overall I find Europe considerably more saturated (in terms of stock photography offerings) compared to North America.  Before Cordoba I was in Madrid and Barcelona.  Guess how many stock shots there are everywhere of Sagrada Familia?  I uploaded couple last week & got 10 Shuttertock cents so far

I would say the strongest image is https://autumnsky.zenfolio.com/p424590562/h2d7db09f#h2d7db09f and it should work well on micros.
Replaced sky is very noticeable in some photos, especially since it's the same Photoshop sky thousands of people are using - but buyers don't care about replaced skies, so that shouldn't stop the images from selling.

Thanks Mike.  I don't like Sky photos -- too kitsch.  Just had discussion with a friend yesterday.  It's an experiment to see if something that screams at you from the screen draws attention & make it stand out among 100s of similars returned by search on stock site.   Attached are shots of that bridge, 1 bland original and 2 with PS sky.

Re Photoshop skies:  While it is matter of mouse click to replace it, some of them are not good quality on pixel level.  I have selection of my own skies that are IMHO much better,  at least on technical level, and will be using them when necessary, although process is bit more involved.
