...just being curious about what you think about your own workflow :-)

Personally I voted for "other"...reason: I need a bigger Studio space!!! The current one is exploding of props, strobes, etc....

Missing: Pre-planning

One of my biggest gaps is planning since I shoot mostly on weekends I need to plan concepts etc the previous week, purchase props and the likes for that shoot, have the shots (both video and stills) written down, etc. I do have a spreadsheet I keep but you still have to pull out those concepts you can shoot in a weekend. My issue is that I get so busy during the week that I get to Friday and no plan.

I made a big improvement by eliminating the last step, which was giving my photos to microstock agencies.

Missing: spend less time in useless work.

Well to improve my workflow I think that I should spend a lot of less time in cleaning everything, removing dots, dust, scratches, etc…

Equipment is part of your production cycle. Workflows can greatly get improved / speeded up by using adequate hardware. But I agree that the formulation of the question is unfortunate. You might consider participating in a english teaching forum ;-)

Same here. I would like a bigger studio. Now I'm struggling to shoot with all the stuff and things lying around, no spare room to move, it takes time and it's sooooo frustrating. I can't get the "flow" because I'm having trouble to move things (and myself!).

Spending too much time on retouching. Removing dust spots and other stuff that the client would NEVER see, because I'm the only stupid one to zoom in at 300%

all that has spoken before me that i agree, i added + to their comments.
+
looking back over what made the most money for me, i realised i am wasting a lot of time
trying to be special for anyone, since my best sellers are shots i did not spend any time on them
other than place them on white background or shoot them with flat lighting
and just white-out the background for dirt and dust.
IOW, the less time i spent , the more downloads they get. so why bother trying to give anything more
than apple of white background,etc
