Picked up 31 new Instant Pays through Wirestock this morning. They have a new Instant Pay partner along with Adobe and others. Guess who is throwing their hat in the ring?

Just as an aside, my images included this am were mostly pre-2010 and have never been sold or if they have, died on the vine years ago. I'm very pleased, and none of these has made a dent in my regular sales. If anything, I am selling more older content. Had a bunch of instant pay sales on WS too. Didn't know they came from Shutterstock though.
I only select Instant Pay for content that never significantly sold before anywhere else and lower quality content.
So good to see that also these images bring in some extra cash.

Should be interesting to watch for sure. I think more and more agencies will go this route, and people will have to decide how much value their old works are worth. And I got SS from the boss in a chat, so I am 100% confident that's the facts

What I got from that was that some contribs failed to read what they sign up for last year. The good part is that Wirestock will happily opt you out if you let them know you dont want to take part but neglected to inform them previously. They are very pro-active and reach out to individual contributors all the time.

Maybe so. But its heading that way regardless. So if they want to pay for my old stuff, I might as well get some pennies from it. The only other options are free sites or deleting deadstock altogether. I actually had a fellow contrib tell me that the honorable thing to do was delete my 15 plus years of work rather than devalue it, for the sake of everyone else.

I think the market is shifting again, and the stuff that is easy to produce is becoming so common as to be worthless. I predict that the photos that cost money to produce, or are scarce/rare will still be sold at a premium. Until then, this is just the discount bin at the front of the dollar store.

do i need to delete content from ss when submitting to ws? or do they weed out the duplicates?

While they do check, you are not allowed to upload duplicates. So the responsibility is yours. Good luck? 

The way I did that is, SS and AS I upload on my own, everywhere else, offered on WS, is now for new images and into the future, that means Alamy too as they screwed the commission rates and I can make out better, giving away 15% and still make more on future Alamy sales.

I got a new WSIP (Wirestock Instant Pay) for a 2007 image that SS rejected! How's that for irony. SS just gave me $3.82 for something they said was infringing. Now they want it? So the obvious, my sales and downloads were zero. Mark one more bonus for me, from WS.

Anyway, the whole how I upload right now, could change, but I'm happy with SS and AS as all mine and everywhere else on Wirestock. New images go to Wirestock, which solves the whole complication of duplicates. They will reject similars...
