When you walk pass any advertisement board and flipping through brochure, you wonder where they purchase the images from and half of the time you can recognize the photos or even the photographers.

You take your girlfriend to lunch at the most beautiful restaurant in San Francisco (the palace hotel) and you tell her what you want to order the then run around the place taking photos of the interior and harp player etc until the food arrives. THEN you tell her to wait while you take photos of HER food and YOUR food before you eat.

True story from this weekend. Gotta love Margie for putting up with all that

... the first thing you tell your spouse in the morning is how one of your newly approved images just sold in Japan

... you cant wait for your newly approved images to appear online so you can add them to the right set

... you're angry at IS/BS/FT and want to close your account with them because they rejected an image that SS approved

... everything you buy for the home - plates, cups, forks & knives - have to look generic without any patterns or distinguishing features

... when all you want for Christmas is a new lens/camera body/tripod etc, etc ....

... you're addicted to reading all the microstock forums

I totally agree. When I was photographer I spent all my life shoting around the world and was completely addicted on reportage, then the market was invaded by microstock, I'm now involved in this industry, and from really well paid fun, photography became a low income job. No addiction
