I'm glad to oblige.

And since you know who I am and that I shoot food and travel not Yuri's stuff, why do you imagine that I am consumed with jealousy rather than simply making straighforward observations on reality?

Honestly I don't know what you shoot.  That's the truth.  I don't have time to scrub people's ports and I also don't feel it is appropriate for me to make ANY comment based on that port.  I am merely speaking about the video and your comments, nothing else. Yet you TRY to make it a port argument.  Not true.  Relax.

I sent you a PM that may explain why I am less than impressed with the guru. It's not appropriate to put it here

If I had retouch photos for 24 hours, I'd end up like Jack Nicholson in The Shining.  Is the quality of work as good towards the end of that time?  I would of temporarily adjusted the images counter and hoped nobody noticed.  I've never done a work related all-nighter, not my idea of a fun time.  My former boss tried it once but he used alcohol to keep us going instead of coffee and it was a disaster.

lol!

I do a fair bit of retouching every day myself but a 24h marathon, ouch!
Yuri probably kept them alert by playing some CS in between sessions.

I am not angry at all.  I was just posting my opinion.  So Baldricktrousers and I disagree...what's the big deal? That's what makes the forums interesting, informative, and fun.

Everybody is freaking out over this. Seriously??? The top retouchers only edited 250 images in an ENTIRE 24 hr day. LMAO !!!! That's like 3 hours worth of work. I sure hope they weren't compensated much .. I'd be like you're fired ... you're fired .. hey you hiding behind the water cooler .. ummm yeah you're fired too.

Yuri threads are always entertaining to read  ;D

Did 'the entire world' care that he was short 2000 images?  Doubtful.  Would it have made a difference if he had retouched the 2000 images over the next two weeks rather than over 24 hours?  Doubtful.  Was it a good marketing stunt to spotlight his site's retouching services?  Bingo.

He's the man, he knows what he's doing  ;)

You dont have any street smart in your team? The obvious short term solution would be to modify the 68325″ number from the message; I bet it would not take too many lines of code to add a constant (2000) to the real number returned by the query. No one will start counting your images and you could add those images in a couple of days anyway!

What is the plan how much time will it take to break even? So many people on your payroll must seriously dent your finances!

And whatever happened to get it right in camera !! LOLOL  8)

Hmmm. "I made a mistake so I made my minions work overnight".
Some buyers won't like that.

I'm pretty sure it was optional and it looks like it was a 'good time'

I am still amazed by the fact that 24 retouchers took up the challenge and worked for 24h+ to help make the promise come true, and I am grateful to each and every one of them. It is amazing working with people who take so much pride in their job and who are willing to go that extra mile it sometimes takes to get to the finish line.

Staring at Photoshop for 24 hours is never going to be a 'good time' and 'asking' employees to work for that length of time is why most civilised countries have labour laws.

This is digital sweatshopping for the 21st century.

We complain all the time about how badly corporations treat us, but seem to offer a free pass when one of our own starts to act in a similar way. Not good.

I'm pretty sure this is why he chose to set up operations in RSA.
I've sometimes been pretty h*cked off with the petty sniping against Yuri in this forum, but this has lowered him greatly in my eyes. Not that he will lose a wink of sleep over what I might think.
