It's been mentioned in other threads how being a stock photo model can affect a model's chances of going professional (in terms of not being able to be exclusive to a brand or competitors being able to use the same model). And there have been cases of this happening.

I'm wondering how would being a stock model for footage affect an aspiring actor/actress's career? Especially with many footage references suggesting we find models at acting schools, etc. So far I haven't come across any examples of this happening. What are your thoughts?

I honestly don't think it effects their career at all, at least not in a negative way. Unless they agree to do something really dumb that shows them in a way they won't want to see later. I've used actors who now get good parts in Hollywood productions and I've never received a complaint. Fact is everyone thinks their going to be the next A List star and that is so far from reality its not worth considering.
