payment delay

I will just mention Yaymicro again, which payment is automatic. When you click payment button the money is already in your PayPal account. If Yaymicro can do it everyone can. And, I think it's OK to wait 7-10 days, but longer than that... I mean, if they send me money in envelope it would come to me in that period.
Maybe it's because I belong to Fotolia.us and they have to send money to Moneybookers which is in Europe.. But again, that is not some excuse.

My last payment (PayPal) took them 8 days, the one before that was 14 days, so maybe they are working through the backlog - DT on the other hand managed to pay me within 12 hours  :)

Just because sales are soaring, doesn't necessarily mean that a company is solvent. There are millions of people (including executives at companies) that spend WAY more than they make, and at some point, sometimes it catches up to them. Just a thought.

True, and I've seen it happen in some cases, but in Fotolia's case they appear serious about growth.   Just off the top of my head, they have hired a couple of former Istock honchos, set up all these alternative outlets via their API, landed lucrative deals with Microsoft, Wordpress, etc.  Everything I have seen from Fotolia (including my own stats) indicates they are aggressively expanding their market share.

Whatever the reason for the payout delays in March, IMO it is definitely NOT lack of solvency!

Not insolvency, probably a decision made by some bean counter to hang onto the cash for longer. He probably got a bonus for the idea.

Without knowing the specific details of FT's banking arrangements it's worth pointing out that they might not make any money by hanging onto the 'cash for longer', not all banks pay interest to corporations in fact a lot of business accounts cost corporations money to run so I'm not sure your theory is correct.

I tend to think it's nothing more than they pay when the person in charge of paying gets round to doing it amongst their other duties, certainly that seems to be the case in my own experience, there's no pattern to my payments at all - different days, different times and different gaps between payments. One thing that does always happens though is that I get paid and I'm confident that'll continue if my own sales growth is anything to go by.

Payout requested on March 29th, received today (two weeks), through MB.  Not bad!

I'm waiting 14 days...

I got lucky this time around, payment via paypal came in 3 days. Previous one took more than 3 weeks. It does not look like there is any payment schedule at Fotolia, just who is manning the "payment booth" at the time of one's request.

Been waiting since the 1st.  I like Fotolia, but their payment system leaves something to be desired.

Mine is pending since May 11th - 6 weeks.

What if the reason behind these very hectic delays is the pretty common credit card fraud. You request for payment. After a week (or the usual time) they check who bought your images. When there is a new/unknown volume buyer on your list they wait an additional 2-3 weeks before they pay your commission. Just a theory.

I would contact Support.  I have never had anywhere near that kind of wait to be paid by FT.  Usually 2 weeks is pretty close to max.

To me they seem to pay without any problems. I requested payment weak ago and received money to MB yesterday. But it wasn't a big amount – so maybe that is the reason.

Here we go again. Sixteen days, no payment. Contacted support, no reply yet.

At least Fotolia is consistent----they never fail to disappoint.

I think my latest payment, earlier this month, took less than 10 days.

Same here. It's been like that the last three or four times for me.

My payouts have come quickly lately too.  I am waiting 10 days for this last one, so in my case it's too early to start worrying yet... :)

FT support reply,

We apologize for the delay. Our billing department is currently processing these payments as fast as they can making sure that they are done accurately after they have been validated. It can take between 2 to 3 weeks
Kind regards,
