Your Favorite Styled Symbiostock Sites (7 Choices)

NOTICE:

I'm requesting if people may volunteer their websites for the front-page gallery of symbiostock.com. Simply post here if I can use your site as an example.

At this time Symbiostock.info shows 130 sites, 167,000+ images.

Looking through the network, I'm amazed at the creative approach people have taken to their websites. People new to web design, as well as the experienced ones have turned out some pretty amazing work, on top of their already professional libraries.

Nov 7, 2013 -- I thought it might be fun to put up a site rating pole. This is typically for inspirational purposes -- not to incite competition. The hope is that the best showcase sites end up serving as a model to those new to Symbiostock, who might be unsure where to start, and for those who may have struggled with layout up until now.

Please let this thread be a fun and encouraging one.

I know who I would vote for if it was based on content but I will have to try and shut my eyes to that and look at the site layout instead

A good excuse to go and look at the sites I have not visited yet and revisit lots of others.

I'm happy to see already a lot of sites are peppered with 1-ups! (As opposed to a few sites having all the votes)

That's a lot of sites to look at. Any chance of narrowing down the selection a little - say the best selling 10 or something like that ?

Or maybe a second round of voting ?

We could narrow it down. Its not really a huge dealeo except just to isolate the model sites -- I am going to post them as examples to newbies and such.

I just worked my way down the list and left the ones I liked best open then gradually narrowed it down to 7

There are some nice sites at the end of the list that have no votes, I think just because it's too much work to get to the end.

I think people vote for nice content rather then a nice site. I have checked a bunch of sites and I notice that some nice sites have low votes, and some less nice sites with good content have more votes. I am not sure, but the top voted sites, are definitely not the prettiest in my humble opinion. I have no votes, so my site AND content are crap. LOL.

It doesnt matter, I have sales, which is all that matters to me. I do like the banner slide show though, which seems to be used across all sites. I need to give that a thought for my site. I think my site is too texty at the moment. I dont know if a banner slide show brings more sales, but also, why fix it if it aint broken. Food for thought.

PS: I am not insulting anyone's site, they all look fine and professional, I just dont share the same opinion as the poll is showing. I apologise up front if my comment is upsetting, that would be unintentional.

Something to think about regarding the banner...i had one and took it off because i ran a speed report and it said that the site loading time was a little long. Bluehost is so friggin slow anyway, i didnt want to add any more time to that. I do like a nice fade in, fade out banner tho.

Very good. I think I am going to put my site up for critique on the Symbio forum and see what people have to say. Maybe I need to ask a few big players if they could spare a minute to judge my site, like Sean and Lisa.

+1. There are some really nice sites in the group. It was hard to choose just 7. It was great to see what people have accomplished with the Symbiostock theme.
