i've had poor sales across all agencies too - dog days of summer

Those of you expressing concern for declining sales, are you shooting content regularly that speaks to the current trends? Right now, you should be focusing on Fall/Autumn based content and getting it online asap. All content should have a Covid-19 filter on it...meaning, life as usual but with the new reality we all see every day...people wearing masks, social distancing, etc. There are more buyers than ever and Adobe Stock is selling well, but if you have been a photographer for a long time, it's very likely that the type of content you will see selling is vastly different than what was selling for you even a year ago.

covid IS reality, and any responsible official knows that and calls for mask wearing, social distancing, etc - only fact-blind governors and presidents dispute this

a bigger question what is the lifespan of these images?

Your guess is as good as mine on that one. Hopefully it's only a short term "trend." Regardless of how long it will last, it's the reality today that customers are looking for. If you want to see growth in sales, I recommend you shoot content that customers are searching for. Then, when things get back to "normal" you can update your plans and create new content that speaks to whatever is trending next.

The scaremongering will last until the US elections in Nov., then it will magically disappear, like all the other media/social media fads. Yes, there will still be a virus, just like there always was. Just like there is one EVERY year that kills tens of thousands of people.

Seems like you'd get better mileage out of images that are for generic virus issues, that could be used every year.

No, I'm not willing to accept that wearing masks is going to be normal forever. That's just ridiculous.

The problem of the USA is so serious that it should never be treated as a joke. We are facing the greatest drama in the history of humanity.

I am not referring to Trump (he is the president who came out by vote), I am not referring to the pandemic (a world drama and that the USA had a comedian for president in presidential elections), which is a huge problem. If there is no nuclear war with China in order not to lose against the Sleeper, and the planet survives, the developed countries will have to strive for decades to help the USA humanely.


North America ends at the Canadian border. The debates about contraceptive pills, abortion, racism, immigration, health for millionaires, flag, patriotism, are going to have to leave him in another life. I am not sure where you get the idea from that I was worried or stressed about the virus? I am not living in a country with 70.000+ new infections each day and almost 150.000 deaths. Our government takes the issue seriously and has been able to keep cases and deaths to a minimum. You seem to suffer from some distortion of perception.
All I am is shocked about how a person can seriously think she and the remaining 4.23% of the world population living in the US are the center of the world and everything revolves around them so much that the news media in the whole wide world will stop reporting about the virus once you have your precious new (or old) president. So, please take a reality pill. You are not as important as you seem to think.

You know this is exactly what these agencies and their fanclubs want, break apart the contributor community so they can do whatever they want.

Back on topic. I think we're currently in the worst phase because of summer slump and coronavirus (second wave) so hopefully things will pick up when all this blows over, somewhere in 2025

tell that to the 130,000 +1000/day americans alone who didnt know they should have recovered!

not to mention the lives and jobs destroyed - another 1.2 million jobs lost this week, and cases/hospitalizations/deaths setting new records

Since 24 July 2020, the sale seems to be picking up. I got almost every day. Seems the old world is getting back to work again.
