Selections are happening. I nominated seven images (big total, I know), and one was selected two weeks ago.

Matt, when can we expect the first batch to be approved? This month's sales is down the drain and some extra funds would be great to begin the summer slump.

Same question here. It's been 4 days since the images eligible went in for review. Is there any date we should expect some extra bucks?

Thanks!

You'll be the first to know! As per the terms, it will happen within 30 days.

Thanks for your patience,

Mat Hayward

It seems I  got 4 selected so far, I got 58 total in free section, 54 from last year and 4 from this batch.

Video-StockOrg

Well, that was quick 8) not a lot for first batch, but better than nothing.

Just received a payment for 58 images.

Some new images to the free collection are showing as "Free" while others show "Free" + In Review. Not sure if this means another payment maybe due if the ones in review are also accepted.

Had a number of photos accepted which is nice. The number of photos I have in the 'free' collection is more than the money credited. Is this because some of the photos from last year haven't dropped out of the collection as yet because a full year isn't up for them?

Yes, this process is ongoing at this time everyone and should be completed later today. By now, if you had photos approved for the Free collection, you should see a payment has been added. This payment is not recorded in your sales statistics however, it is only seen in your actual balance.

When you view your portfolio at this moment, many of you are still seeing content that was previously accepted along with the newly accepted content. The files that were in the Free collection last year, but are not accepted this year are in the process of being removed and should be back in the paid collection sometime today.

You will receive an email tomorrow that explains exactly how many files were approved. Congratulations to everyone who had images approved, thank you very much for your participation. I'll be checking in periodically to answer any questions you may have.

Thank you,

Mat Hayward

Thanks Mat. Can we expect more waves of approvals for the Free section ?

I think it's live now, I got the money I can't account for with downloads.

I can't say for sure whether more photos will be approved this year or not.

The process of removing the content previously in the Free collection that was either not approved again this year, or not nominated is now complete. The easiest way to see the selected files is to view your public facing portfolio page and filter by Free.

As mentioned, you'll soon receive an email that confirms the number of files that were accepted and the payment amount you received.

Thanks everyone!

Had about 150 accepted today. That was a nice surprise for the day.

How is this free photos good for us and Adobe's business?  Just curious how it can increase overall revenue for Adobe and us contributors.  I have a bunch of photos approved already.

What I would be very interested in, Mat: did you offer pictures for the free selection yourself?

Ha Ha! That image has actually done OK in the past. For the record, I used the neural filter in Photoshop to significantly advance the appearance of my age! :)

From 36 nominated files...they took 1...can't even see the five dollars yet?

I have to say I am a bit confused, why suggest so many files?

Well, guess I am doomed to make money with the other files. :)

Artist

I never nominated any files... how does it works?
Like if I nominate 100 files will they take all 100 or will they choose from the nomination?

Oh, ok, so they are very selective, didn't realize that. Thank you for the info.

I received an email that says:

QuoteYou have assets accepted for the free collection

Dear Xxxx,

We are sending this email to let you know that we've accepted 100 asset(s) you nominated for the Adobe Stock free collection.

Congratulations! We've added an upfront payment of £500 to your overall earnings balance.* (Please note, that there won't be an itemized entry for the free assets.)

* Please note: The numbers in this email are approximate; check your earnings statistics for exact numbers.

Please note that "100 asset(s)" and "£500" are fictitious because I do not wish to publish my real data, however the proportion is correct.

I believe there are a couple of problems here:

1) £500 should read $500 (ok, this is just a typo);

2) Some of us - depending on geographic location - are being shortchanged (again), as the actual amount paid for each photo (worth $5) is £3.75, while at the current exchange rate it should be about £4.14. A 10% difference!
