I really have no luck with fotolia. I haven't even gotten to my first pay out and I've been there for 2 years I think...maybe three...don't remember. I guess I don't have the right style. I do fairly good at Big Stock, Shutterstock, Dreamstime and Shutterstock...but not Fotolia. Alot of my popular selling files at the other ones Fotolia rejected so that may have something to do with it also...oh well.

C'mon guys - you're all doing exceptionally well for us noobs.
I have made 1 sale. Off a portfolio like 16 images!

Fotolia has the highest rejection rate for me - I can't seem to grow my portfolio, so chances are I won't make another sale any time soon.
I must really suck at this.
My port on SS is growing nicely, and I've made about 35 sales since I started (which was 3 weeks ago).
I know - different strokes for different folks, but come on!

Let me put it you this way to give context to my frustration:

CS: +/- 95% acceptance
CC: +/- 90% acceptance
StockXpert: +/- 55% acceptance
BigStock: 47% acceptance
SS: 55 images of 160 uploaded (not great, I know, but I'm getting there)
DT: 24 images of 100 uploaded (even worse)

And now... Drum roll....
FT: 16 images of 187 uploaded (ouch)
That's an acceptance rating of 8.6%

So... To sum up:
Good job guys - I think you're all legends

Not really. Why don't you put up a full-size rejected photo somewhere and ask for some input here? You can watermark it. It might help to hear some opinions of the legends.

last month i went as high as 6860 with 20 images, and got  my first month of sales.
already made 20% of what i earned elsewhere last year. my first year with the others.

i am definitely looking forward to 2009 with FT. and of course, contributing more to FT
because they get results. big rejections but they sell what they accept.

CofkoCof, that's a wide swing of ranking.
I didn't pay attention to it until I started getting sales. I noticed how I actually moved almost 2000 places in 7 day rank with just a week sale. Is that really how it works,
or is it due to the fact that my acceptance %age went up too?

I think the 90 - 10 rule works: 10 percent of the people earn 90 percent of the money. So it's easy to advance at the beggining and it gets harder later on. Especially if you stop adding content for a few months, like me

FT-Ranking is running wild between 20.000-5.000 if you sell 1 or 2 pitures
between place 2.000-5.000 you can gain a hundred places in a day
between place 1.000-2.000 they count in 10 steps
between place 0-1.000 they start to count in real numbers :-)

I'm today 978/264
sold 25 pictures yesterday

So, really, what does this mean?  Does it really mean much? Because for a month without live images or sales on the site, we've got a better 7 day rank than people who are active on the site.
