Frankly, mate, your sales tally for the month is pathetic given the number of images you have online ant that you are exclusive. I'm way ahead of you despite being independent. I'm probably ahead of you on iStock this month on a sales-per-image basis, too, even though this month sucks and a lot of my stuff is old. So stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

I am satisfied with my sales, we have a double digit growth (in %) from month to month and that is what counts for me.
in contrary to what you think, I am not in any contest with you or anyone else here (pissing or otherwise).
I wish you the best of luck, big earnings and may you be the next Yuri for all I cares, despite your foul language.

I must have missed something.  Personally I don't object to foul language, but I don't see any in Balderick's post...???
Well maybe not foul but quite rude, no ?
" So stick that in your pipe and smoke it."

Well, you know,  he means whatever youre smoking, he wants some. Thats a compliment!

 :o :::shock:::  :o

I'm actually up a few dollars from a year ago, and that's without Thinkstock earnings added and a drop from 20% to 16% commission.  Never in a million years did I expect higher earnings.

December was miserable and January is off 10% from last year.
The buyers can't find what they are looking for because the search has been wonky.

I'm hoping that my sales will pick up after IT gets it's act together. If not, I'll be pulling by crown.
I'll give it till the end of Feb.

Just checked my stats and my January downloads at Istock are down with 25% compared to January 2010.   Sales figure is down 23%.   If royalty % AND number of downloads go down at Istock, we'll have a GREAT 2011 !  Fortunately, Shutterstock and Fotolia went up and covered the loss.

The sales trend in IS seems quite negative according to most people here... :(
maybe its because of the crappy site ?

It's been a bad month with istock but I stopped uploading when they announced the commission cuts months ago.  I don't mind seeing lower sales there. if it means people are buying more of my images on the other sites.

I really don't miss their time consuming upload procedure and I still don't like the new site layout, so I visit the site a lot less often than I used to.  It's a real shame, I put up with 20% commission and quite enjoyed working with istock but that all changed and now I don't see me being with them at all in the future, unless there's a big change.

+ 1

Footnote: at least I can say that here.... I mean that rather says it all for me (the assumed overuse and ban of  +1 as agreement in the forum) so essential with all the bugs needing adressing and the knock backs to contributers   ::)

What about 2010 (is that what you mean)?

I've not had an EL on iStock yet. What kind of royalty does one return on average?

Hi All,

My sales are down as well . Not from last year but over the past few months despite uploading my max every week. I am hoping it is just seasonal. Sales are strong at the other big 3.

Best,
Jonathan

I don't see how one could even remotely think that the site issues have not contributed to a lower sales volume in recent weeks.
