Here's another weirdness:
A subset of pics from Getty (exclusive only?) are available as prints from Photos.com.
On all my few pics there, there's a link to 'buy art prints at Photos.com'. OK it doesn't actually say, "buy this photo as an art print ..." but it is rather implied by the placing. But when you click on the link, you just get taken to the photos.com homepage.
What a chain-yank.
How many busy stock buyers suddenly decide in mid sale to go random print buying?
If a potential buyer happens to have found an image via Google and would really like a print of it, but lands on the Getty Stock Page, how is it helping them if they find they can't buy a print of the image they liked?
You couldn't make this stuff up.
