Captain Young (Qiyang Chen), here is another tip from me:
-You have an exclusive agreement with Dreamtime.  You should upload all your snapshots to Dreamstime only.

You have broken your Exclusivity Agreement with Dreamstime.  Did you know that Dreamstime will probably invalidate and recover all earnings you've made so far?  I guess it's not much, but anyway...

Your images are simply not stock-oriented. Nature images tend to be high in supply and low in demand and only the very best (and luckiest) will make worthwhile sales.

Isn't it surprising IS accepted all those images? What a U turn!
It's ridiculous! This is what happen when there are no upload limits and no QC.  Personally, I'm sick of all these new snapshoters flooding iStock with their big portfolios full of crappy images.
My advice to any fresher:  Stop flooding the site with all your snapshots!!!You are not going anywhere doing it.

I know most of my files is not suitable to uploaded, what I do is just for trial, if I don't try, how could I know what should I do?
I also know the commercial photo is totally different from mine, so what I am doing is just try my best to find the key to success.
And most you know I am not a snapshoters, I want to be a real excellent one.
Thanks your criticism, it make me unconfortable in a way, but it's true.... I will keep learning to make something better.
Glad to know you!

I think your comment is out of line.
1. The photographer supplies the kind of pictures that iStock now wants to see. What's your problem? Are you afraid of competing with "snapshots"?
Haven't you heard that iStock is THE place for professionals?

IS have big plans for their collection. They will now be able to compete with Mostphotos or flood Google Drive.
Resistance is futile :)

2. CaptainYoung's photos are not bad. The compositions are generally quite OK, e.g. this one is quite nice:
http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-29311448-the-road-in-bamboo-forest.php
The main issues are: too many nearly identical photos, the light and colours are not so good and the subject matter which is not popular in microstock.

Do you remember the Galapagos series that was accepted some time ago? Compared to that photographer CaptainYoung is a true master of photography.

thank you, I will do it better....
glad to know you! :)

I am very holpfully to get some help from you, and I want to make friends with you!!!!

CaptainYoung, here are a few tips from me:

1. Istock is no longer the site it used to be a couple years ago. Download numbers are much lower and the royalties for independent photographers have been cut. Don't expect good performance from iStock and you will not be dissapointed.

2. As others mentioned this kind of subject matter doesn't make much money in microstock.
If you describe the locations very exactly, Alamy might be worth trying. But you need a lot of patience with Alamy.

3. If you shoot landscapes, do a search on istock for "landscape" and sort by the number of downloads.
Then you will see what kind of landscape photos do sell in microstock.

Thanks for your advices, I will do it better.
Alamy is micro or macro? It has more than 40M photos?

Missed the series you're talking about
Sean bought 1 pic from that series for his blog. It was shot by a guy who titles a photo "England" and in the description writes "Edinburgh" :).
Oh, I forgot he had some from Galapagos.  :(
But hey, don't knock him  ::)! His first file was uploaded on 5th June, he has an 80% acceptance rate and 7 sales.

Oh sh*t. Does nothing work over on iS any more? Not only have I been logged out three times in 15mins, I went to that person's port then 'narrowed my results' to Galapagos and thought, "Oh, these aren't bad at all, except for some spam", then saw that although his name is still at the top of the page ("Portfolio X") the results are all iS files tagged Galapagos.

There is even 'better'... search for Battersea Power Station. The newest ~200 images by the same contributor are a series of the same or similar views but with different photo effects: normal, vintage ...b/w. I wonder which photo effect is coming next?

So, what  happen in IS? I'm very doubt that whether the IS is becoming a site like Flikr or something? QC is already inexistenced?

They're up to 'something', and it won't be something good for contributors.
Their standards used to be extremely high (arguably far too high) and now almost anything goes. At the same time, they're allowing everyone to upload 999 images per week (it was 15 when I joined and sometimes it went down to 10pw if the queue was too long), yet they're doing almost everything possible to prevent new files from being seen (there is a 'newest' search sort, but as they have more or less done away with keyword inspection, other than Keywordzilla, almost all searches by newest are really horrible, contaminated by dreadful spamming, so a buyer would in most cases try another search method, if they didn't leave the site altogether.

Makes no logical sense, and your speculation of what they're up to is as valid as mine.

Honestly, I don't see how it can be a mistake.  You knew you were exclusive.  You just thought nobody would find out what you were doing.

This is really off topic, but I've got to applaud this contributor. They have an extremely varied port (ignoring all the variations of the Battersea Power Station), and have uploaded a HUGE number of photos in a very short time. In fact, I had to go back over 1000 of their newest ULs (all done within about a week's time) to find the most recently UL'd file that has sold. That's a lot of work and persistence without any positive reinforcement. I'd guess all of these were previously rejected files that they had been able to UL elsewhere but not IS, and now that IS is allowing almost everything ....

Maybe I was lucky to join iStock when there were uploading limits and very high standars.  I quickly got used to be very picky about what to upload.  iStock's high standards are now gone but I keep uploading only my best work.  And the result is now I have a very profitable portfolio.

I know my words might have been unpleasant for some people. But they were honest and you know it.   Your current portfolio will not help you reach any dream.  It will rather bring you poor reputation.  Clean it, keep only your best images, plan your shots, and very important: Honor your exclusivity agreements.
