My new strategy is not to upload top and new images to iStock, since the income goes down. Does anyone else doing the same?

I closed my port with them way back in 2017, but many people still contribute to them for 2 cents, yet at the same time they complain about 10 cents from Shutterstock. What a hypocrisy !

Thanks for nothing. For years I read people complaining for istock. And i never submitted as a matter of principle not to support the greedy low payers. All those years of my lost sales while people undermined the market and me silently to their profit and only appear here to cry or give advice when they lose money.

I made that decision directly after the big pay cuts in 2016. So why stop uploading just now? You should have stopped uploading years ago. and if you became a contributor post-2016, the numbers have been low ever since...

I left iS in 2011 for the very same reason that I left SS at the end of May 2020.

Both moves felt good at the time I made them, and they still do.

If we don't have enough respect for our own creative products, why should we expect a corporation to respect them or us?

I stopped uploading, and deleted my best selling files, when they annonced the 2 cent commissions.

Last year I finally closed my account last year after they by mistake paied a resonable commission for some images, and then took it back.
