Guys, I think we should not exagerate with the amount of comments.  One per image is enough...

Can always change the image you post here. People who commented on the first one won't be obligated to comment on a second one though.

Kngkyle,

I think it isn't quite a good approach to exagerate and have many people commenting the same image.  I suggest that, once an image has already been commented, if we want to help each other we should comment another by the same member.  If I were LO staff, I would consider such "massive" commenting a misuse.

Adelaide

It's up the person to either change the image in his post every now and then, or to simply tell people to comment on anything in his gallery, and then link us to that. I totally understand what you mean though.

Interesting results on the comment experiment:
My image of the vegetables for sale after 3 comments went straight to
first place in the search for vegetables for sale and to page 3 of a search for vegetables that second search showed over 4400 images with my at # 112! No sales yet but it did work as far as placing the image where it might be seen. It just seems like alot of work for one image. Now that is if you let what seems to be the default on the search results stay on best.
If the customer decides to use newest search result then you seem to end up like at SS on top for a while.

Here's one of mine.  I have far too many with zero views.  Will go and add some comments.

Why is it that when MostPhotos said they were using this type of system it was disparaged and a lot of people here said they would not upload unless it changed.  Now that LO is doing it, people are jumping in to comment and help boost image placements?
Just wondering

You know, what I think might work the best would be to comment on the 3 above you...  What do you think?  Everyone should have the time to make 3 comments, and it won't be too obvious at LO?  Then next week we can add another photo to this list and do your comments?

jorgeinthewater:  Good to hear about your vegetables!

Anyhow, here's one of my most recent ones.  I'll go comment on a few now.

I'm changing mine, please pick one of these:

http://www.luckyoliver.com/photo/3555428/stock_market_analysis
http://www.luckyoliver.com/photo/3944397/stock_market_analysis

Got too many comments in the other one already, and yet no sales.  Anyway, it's nice to have comments.

Adelaide

I'm going to start commenting on everyone here as I see their pix turn up in the 'latest comment section'.   I have trouble getting links here on MSG... so......  Please feel free to comment on anything in my 'folio as you see me comment on your work.  If you have the time, go to the latests and see if there's anything you feel you can honestly comment on.
Please... don't feel the need to 'force' a comment on anything.  If you like it, then please comment.   Thanks.    Oh... my name there is Trac.    =tom

a.k.a.-tom

My policy now is choose another image when I see the one posted here has already been commented that day.  I don't think that having too many comments in just one image is a good idea.

I agree.   I've been going into each ones portfolio and actually looking for images I really do enjoy ( and it isn't easy narrowing it down, some great work you folks have).   As someone said earlier,  I too am being humbled!
This way,  I can honestly say I am commenting because I feel a personal need to comment for reasons why I enjoy the image, which is what LO wants to be done anyway!

and thanks to all who have returned comment to me..  thanks very much!  -tom

Check out the newly set up topic. Should solve the problem for the most part.
