What do you find are the most popular/dominant colors for images other than containing people. Red, yellow and blue ?

Blue, then blue, then blue.

Did I say blue?
jmho.

then yellow, then red

Blue is corporate/professional, Yellow is warm, red is attention getting and aggressive.

I'm in marketing, so these are marketing opinions.

Would a meek woman wear "really red" lipstick?

Agnostic - Don't know what created the sky but its a great marketing tool.

Green has made a huge comeback for obvious reasons.

Not exactly answering your question, and more for designers/illustrators than photographers, but still about trendy colours : http://www.colourlovers.com/

thanks. I looked.  There is too much info there for me. But may be it is a good idea to subscribe to a magazine on the subject.

Red strawberries sell better than blue ones :)  I think all of the primary colors sell well.  Over saturated colors sell well but might not be accepted by istock.

One of my top selling images is predominately RED.
As in photography, on a search page it pulls the eye in.
