It was indeed the "automatic submission" feature that I had a question about.
I had also done some research on my own and found this link stating that automatic submission is not allowed:

You're right about the option to disable this feature, even though doing so would limit some potential evolution (the ability to schedule image uploads and submissions in advance would be very useful  ).
Is your application developed in Python?

I've two Symbiostock sites too : 3d-fonts and lifeispix.
One is on A2Hosting (152 euros/ year).
and one is on ArchHosting (108 euros/ year) (Affiliate link : https://archhosting.net/aff.php?aff=293).

Two have cpanel and Imagick and My Symbiostock websites works smoothly with these two hosting providers.

I was on bluehost before but changed because of their renewal prices.

Not many sales, but enough to pay hosting charges.

Keep in mind it's a lot of work to setup your own website but it is worth trying it

I think I will give the new Symbiostock plugin and Symzio a try in the next few weeks with an entirely new site.

I'm very happy with my site too (17 sales from the beginning + 2 works on demand ) even though sales slow down last two months
I promote my symbiostock website on Tsu and Twitter and it helped to drive some traffic...

I agree with Cascoly, due to network option + Cascoly's global search, Symbiostock has an excellent SEO, much better than on any other theme !
