Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe has blocked my account
« on: June 27, 2025, 14:17 »
I'm interested in uploading AI content to Adobe but I've always been apprehensive in case it gets flagged for whatever reason. Even one AI generated photo could be enough to put your account in danger, so I always end up asking myself if it's really worth the risk.

IMO their search is screwed up and the team behind it are useless.

In my video portfolio only one video ever sells, and if I upload another video of the same subject matter that's slightly different but of the same quality, it de-ranks the old and promotes the newer one.

However, no matter what I upload to adobe after a while it always sells including my older content, so in comparison to shuttersh1t adobe is much more balanced which is good for the buyer, and is perhaps is one of the reasons why adobe always outperforms SS.

Shutterstock WAKE UP *.

Slightly down for me, I'm also trying to adjust my expectations for the usual summer slump 2025.

If he's being insistent maybe you should negotiate with them.

Did everyone get paid? Mine got sent out on the 12th but had to email them to get it done.

The ability to select a preview frame in a video has disappeared.
 >:( >:( >:(

It's still there, not sure if it works though.

Go to Portfolio, Catalog Manager, Marketplace Catalog then select Videos, and on the right should be Select Video Thumbnail.

P5 should of just left things the way they were.

How does a reputable company with a more than a decade long history of selling stock video to the public become so irrelevant?

Just shows how far things have fallen for the stock video industry in general.

I bet SS hated doing this ;D

I honestly think yes because of many factors our revenue has obviously decreased significantly since 2000, but if it wasn't for agencies such as Shuttersh1t our revenue would be down but no way near as much.

It's a depressing state of affairs, but I like to comfort myself in the thought that all it takes is just 1 image or 1 video which only you thought that everyone needs, then you could potentially earn some serious money. The potential for this outcome will always exists so long as there is demand, and not just in stock.

Now we have to wait for what getty will do.

Are your hopeful Getty will be able to improve pond5 ?

So many questions.

Remember back in the days when we use to have reps from almost all the agencies active here on the forum?

This should tell you all you need to know.

There are other and probably better possibilities for content creators to earn, be it selling stuff on Etsy or starting a Youtube channel. Maybe look into some of these to not depend on stock too much?

Is ETSY worth the time for a microstock contributor, if so selling what? I've heard POD is a waste of time with very low commissions and doesn't sell well.

How is everyone's sales going from P5? I've had a few sales here and there since January but now seems to have dried up completely.

Slightly up from the disaster that was February, but still down from the last quarter of 2024.

Great question and I also hope we can gain some perspective on this matter.

To better understand I think we need, as you mentioned, to hear from larger contributors. But also we need to be looking at the agencies financials and overall yearly performance to understand customer trends and see where the money's going.

The upward trend I was beginning to see towards the end of last year seems to have ended, and now I'm back to pre 2024 levels. It's like playing snakes and ladders with istock. I'm seriously thinking about leaving this industry for good.

btw guys, 15% is pathetic and always has been since the beginning.

General Stock Discussion / Re: This month's sales
« on: March 06, 2025, 06:05 »
Shutterstock - earnings fell below $100 for the first time since April 2022 when I had a video port at least 5x smaller that it is now.

Shutterstock - a 11-day consecutive period of non-video sales not seen since... oh also April 2022... when I had a video port at least 5x smaller that it is now.

Also to mention multiple pathetic $1 video sales when they did sell.

Adobe Stock did very well for February 2025.

Overall earnings were lowest + first time under $1k month since January 2024 and if not for a late sale of $117.90 on Pond5 would of been lowest since March 2023.

A poor month with exception of Adobe Stock which performed well.

This also pretty much sums up my own experience with both SS and Adobe in February and the overall trend.

SS video is nothing short of pathetic even though I'm increasing my port.

We should make an awards ceremony dedicated to our favorite stock agencies.

General Stock Discussion / Re: motionelements payout(s)?
« on: February 26, 2025, 18:51 »
They were sending our payments regularly between the 15th and 18th of each month. The February payment has not been sent yet. The information section says "Upcoming". There is also a warning saying "Final amount may vary due to payment processor fees". My payment method is Payoneer.

Is there anyone else who has not received their payment this month like me or is there a problem with my account?

Me too, payment didn't arrive between the mentioned dates. But I've also had an ongoing issue with them since last year which they said should be corrected if I indicate my YouTube Content ID status. Not sure what the f*ck that's got to do with them sending the money they owe me. But yes, I'm still waiting for payment and I sent an email requesting the payout before next month.

They are also very slow in responding to your messages, it can take months.

These agencies take the piss.

They didn't just shaft the producers and suppliers, they kicked out all the original team that worked so hard to make SS a great place.

Interesting, do you have any insider info from anyone that used to work there before 2020?

With photos, the new offices on the Shutterstock Blog.

Unlike my SS contributor dashboard I can see lots of straight Caucasian males wandering around the premises, how disgusting.

Thanks for the info. So, the fraud really began to kick off from 2019 when they opened the flood gates and allowed uploads from all of the world, and not just western countries.

24
So they work in groups then, all swapping images and accounts between them, and if one gets banned they move onto the next and share the profits from stolen images/video between them?

For my CGI video port it's just a downward spiral at SS, breaking new records every month.

Adobe Stock seems to be maintaining but not as good as it used to be. istock is the only one that has seen an improvement since late last year.
