There's no more 'details' to show your latest sales, unless I click 'Classic view'. How am I supposed to see which images have sold in the new layout?

In Firefox, I can open the forum main page, but somehow, subforums cannot be opened. The page keeps loading until it displays a 'The connection was reset' error. I have no internet connection problems and other websites load normally . What could cause it?
FYI, in Chrome, subforum do load, but ugly font rendering makes it illegible (although that may actually be a Chrome thing).

Apparently, Adobe/Fotolia has changed the watermark on video previews. Now, all I see is a very tiny "Fotolia" watermark in the upper left corner. Not really good protection, is it? Why not just a big watermark in the middle, as you do with photos and vectors?

I want to know your thoughts on promoting your own video portfolio on YouTube, i.e. uploading watermarked comps of your footage/animations and providing a download link in the description to whichever agency you want viewers to go to (Pond5, SS, etc.)
Does it actually attract buyers or is it a useless way to promote things? I wonder if people looking to buy footage actually use YouTube to search for footage. However, if I could convince 1 or 2 potential customers to purchase one of my videos they found via YouTube, that would be worth a try.

I had over $100 in earnings before the end of May, but the amount has not yet been removed from my balance. I thought it was supposed to happen on the 5th day of the month?

Normally, subscription sales net me $0.44 or $0.30, but this time I earned ten times the amount for a single subscription sale. Usually these amounts are credit sales, so what kind of subscription is this?

Today I received my payment from VideoBlocks. First of all, thanks for the timely payment.
However, I know you charge a small creditcard fee ($1,84), a small fee for Paypal ($1) because of your payout manager Tipalti, and that's fine by me. It's mentioned in the FAQ, so I can live with that. But why then do I have to pay the transaction fee to Paypal (3,4%) as well? Feels like I'm double-charged for transaction fees. Most agencies I know pay this particular transaction fee themselves.
In short: of the $49 sale I get to keep $44,06 at the end. That's a total of 10,1% on fees.

"You can disable all files approved more than six months ago at any time. You are allowed to disable 30% of files uploaded in the recent six months however 70% must be kept online for six months from their approval date. You can disable each of your remaining 70% after the six months pass." RIDICULOUS! I find it disgusting that DT has the gall to keep my files online without my consent. How in the world can they do this? I just discovered that some time ago, I accidentally uploaded some files which were recently approved and online. Now I want to remove them, but I can't, because they decide in my place that they can keep my files hostage for 6 months. That's just beyond words!

Wow, I think I have hit a new low at this agency: $0.16 for an S-sized download.
To my knowledge, a 1 credit S-sized vector should be at least 0.76 euro's, so at level 3 I should be getting 40% of that amount. Most of the time I receive $0.28 or $0.35. So what is going on? Why was it sold for only $0.40?

A place dedicated to all the deals, plans and schemes the agencies are currently concocting, so we contributors have a good overview of which agencies to avoid, where to pull our ports or to simply stay up-to-date about the next D-day.
We'd then be getting all of the information in one place about things like DP's Shotshop, FT's Dollar Photo Club, Istock's RC's, etc. instead of having to check each subforum for greedy plans or deals.
It could even be a simple collection of short-cuts to the corresponding threads. How about it?

"We are gearing up for some changes. Please bear with us while we perform some updates and improvements to the site. Bigstock will be available again shortly."
Is this a reason for concern? It's certainly odd the entire site is offline.

I got an e-mail from a business, asking for a customized version of one of my images for use on their nylon mats. It gets printed on these mats and then shipped to retail stores.
I'm now considering the price, but I've no idea about the number of prints, how many retail stores and how expensive these mats will be. Therefore, I find it hard to come up with a good license price.
Any ideas? Who's had experience with selling designs for decoration items?

I never had much sales on GLStock, but December and January have been surprisingly good for a low earner (especially considering their RPD). Has anyone else experienced a sudden rise in sales or am I just lucky?

Lo and behold, Istock manages to screw something up again. All of a sudden, upload is broken. And this message from Lobo is hilarious: "We only provide FTP uploads for Video. We haven't ever provided FTP for the other file types. I have no idea why we haven't ever considered FTP for photo but I'm sure there is a good enough reason considering we haven't had the option thus far." Every other microstock site has FTP, but iStock has a "good enough reason" not to use it (Failing IT department, perhaps.)

I have not received an email telling us about this sale, so where's this coming from all of a sudden?

Apparently IS decided to have a 24 hour vector sale, all credit sales 50% off. Not sure if this means we're getting 50% of the royalties, but if so, where can I opt out?!

What if a customer wants to print your image on a t-shirt and sell an unlimited number of shirts on his web shop; would an Extended License be sufficient?
Because the Shutterstock license says: "Incorporated into merchandise for resale or distribution, without regard to the size of the manufacturing or duplication run of such merchandise "
...but also says that Print on Demand is prohibited, even with an Extended License.
Doesn't that contradict each other? Isn't POD (tshirt) not the same principle as "Incorporated into merchandise for resale or distribution">

I was wondering about a sitemap for my webshop. Is it necessary to submit one to Google or other search engines? Would it help with getting indexed properly, and if so, what pages should I include or exclude?
I already have a simple sitemap for my normal website (illustration portfolio) but if I generate a new XML sitemap (for my webshop), it gets stuffed with all kinds of urls.

I did a test sale for my new webstore, and everything worked fine up until Paypal.
The payment is listed as being Completed, but my balance is still 0. I do have the option of returning the payment, but when will my balance be updated? Do I need to confirm something?

Today I got 26 (!!!) refunds of images from the same series, downloaded on March 25th. Good job Istock, for yet another day of valiantly protecting my images against credit card fraud. How immensely frustrating.

So, I bought CMSAccount's photostock script the other day, and I'm running into a little problem.
In the admin panel (Settings > Taxes) I can specify when to apply VAT on my automated invoices. It says:
- All countries - USA - Canada
But for tax purposes I need to be able to specify whether the customer is a business or an individual and if it's located within the European Union or outside of the European Union. The option 'Reversed charge' would be useful as well.
Is there anyone from Europe who uses this script, let me know how you handle this.

What would you say is the minimum amount of images one should have to make the investment (of your own stocksite) worth it?
500? 1000? Even more?
I think on one hand, you'll want to give your customers some choice, but on the other hand, who cares, as long as they find your image on Google and want to buy it. What's your opinion?
