So far I found two of them and they do mostly the same, do a search on few microstock sites at the same time. So if your a buyer you just go to one place and search.  This is common then approach is different for these two sites:
1. http://www.imagetrail.net/ would redirect you to original website and let you buy picture from that site.
2. http://www.brightqube.com/ got it's own shopping cart and handle all buying process so you would never see where is image coming from.

After 2 months it finally happened.

Somebody asked, yes I got account since 2005 but I haven't been using it till last month so I got only 16 files online after I started uploading. I was almost willing to give again because their upload process is terrible but I discovered DeepMeta and it's slightly better now. Maybe I will not quit this website despite of all initial problems :-)

General Stock Discussion / RSS/ATOM newsfeed?
« on: May 20, 2008, 13:01 »
It seems like there is no single site that allows to check my status through news feed. It's kind of annoyingly to go to every site to only to see that nothing changed. I know I am really inpatient person :-)

What is wrong with them?

Rosa, Tea, beautiful, beauty, bouquet, bunch, closeup, flower, flowering, garden, genus, love, petal, pink, plant, red, romantic, rose, shrub, valentine

Do they expect that I will have individual set of tags for every picture?

It took me 2 months to see this  ???

Are there any sites using category system that implemented this feature? It just drives me nuts that I have to go thru each pictures and set some category which is not really used for search but helps site to catalog pictures.

General Stock Discussion / Persistant nonproducers

I just noticed first sales on few sites so I could start from something positive here. So far after 2 months I am expecting first payout on SS, got few DL on 123 and FT (ftp upload is broken) and finally first sales on DT and StockXpert.

All others seems to be dead.
IS - stack with their upload process so I cannot really build any portfolio there while I managed to have over 1000 photos on 123
BigStock - same as above, weeks of waiting for review of 10 photos
CS - they are very fast in reviewing I mean rejecting my photos
FP - everything works ok but no sales at all
SV - just patetic review times and upload process

Potentially useful.
YAY - smooth upload process. I can build portofolio almost as fast as 123 but I have no idea if this would take off in June

After rejecting 64 pictures they send me congratulation message (it must be a bug in their software):

EVALUATION MESSAGE

Good pictures. Keep uploading! Best regards, Crestock

Best regards,

I tried to upload pictures of animals in San Diego Zoo. All were rejected.

Dreamstime.com / I do not get it...
« on: May 08, 2008, 15:05 »
First I got message that due to massive uploads review time would be 10 days then they review my files in one day. Is the first one fake/random message?

313
Maybe it's just dumb newbie question but I am curious...

Ridiculously long review time, acceptance rate, non-existing sales.... you name it...

Site may accept everything but periodically delete unused files (not downloaded for specific period of time).

Adobe Stock / FTP upload has stopped working month ago...
« on: May 07, 2008, 12:17 »
At least for me. I upload large batch of pictures and two random appear in my queue. When I connect to FTP server my directory there is empty. It must be some very smart processing in place :-)

Featurepics.com / Submit buttons
« on: May 06, 2008, 14:30 »
I always have to scroll thru all this legal mambo/jambo to get to submit button. Such a waste of time if everything was properly imported from IPTC. Buttons should be on the top and on the bottom of the page... Web developers should do some usability studies :-)

320
Can you might it work? I got error message:
"An internal error has occured: [string "IstockPhotoUploadTask.lua"]:156 attempt to concatenate upvalue 'keywordsXML' (a nil value)"

321
I shoot mostly nature and so far after 1.5 month I have been uploading equally to every site. It seems that I got only download at SS. I managed to get accepted almost 1000 pictures on 123 but I got only 2 downloads there.

I know thtat many of you here are graphics designers and use tools from work to create isolations but I am just photographer, I use CaptureOne or Lighroom for most of my tasks. I would not justify paying couple hundred dollars for Photoshop CS when I am starting with microstock and my current payouts are around $50 a month.

Stand-alone software and plugins for isolating objects in your photos and combining multiple images into realistic composites.

  • Corel Knockout
  • ArcSoft Cut-It-Out
  • AutoMask
  • On1 Mask Pro
  • Vertus Fluid Mask
  • MatchLight
  • StepOK Recomposit

How would you rank them and are they capable of making isolations acceptable in microstock world?

324
Again large batch of files rejected with some cryptic reason  ???

    *  Custom
    * Inaccurate keywords

What the heck is this "Custom"????
