Its 18 per month, daily download limit is 100 images, so this makes 0.003 per image at max downloads.
Where did you read about this? And why only photos, and not videos?

Well, Ive been a contributor for 12 years, with a solid portfolio of 15,000 videos. It took nearly six months for my application to be accepted.
You submitted an application once and then waited six months for a response?

Hello,
I am new in Storyblocks. i wonder if it's normal that my top clips are not showing on my dashboard anymore. It's been about 2weeks...
How did you manage to pass the exam there? Do you have very good videos?

Are video portfolios also included in this, or only photos? Looking at who has commented so far, it seems that mostly photo contributors have been invited to this new model.
Videos are included
Why did you come to this conclusion? Is this written somewhere?

Where can I see what prices this subscription has for buyers? And does this only apply to photos or videos too?

Dear Shutterstock Contributor,
Starting today, your Shutterstock account has been included in a small Contributor pilot group that will power the launch of our new "Unlimited Download Subscription" - an offering designed to capture an emerging market of individual users. As part of this pilot group, you will be the first to benefit from this additional licensing opportunity, while your content will continue to be available across the Shutterstock library for all customers to license.
+100 This is great news! This is what I recommended Shutterstock to do. I am glad that Shutterstock followed my advice.

model fees
How do you justify the costs of models? Do you write their fee in the model release?

What data are you talking about? Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, Dropbox.

The book is even bought on Amazon? Maybe stockers should stop uploading to stocks and start selling their photos as books on Amazon? Do they buy a paper version or an electronic one?

The video is still pending verification for many months. However, the video has been submitted for verification.

How fast is the noise removed from the video, how many hours do you wait? How powerful is your PC? Why don't you use Topaz?

artlist and storyblocks are tiny.
The merged business has way more than over 1 billion files and will have by far the largest editorial volume as well.
They would be as dangerous as depositphotos or dreamstime.
Also they own envato, if someone wants ultracheap subs they can offer that.
They might even prop it up with more content to make it more attractive.
I don't think the merger will affect Adobe because they sell from within photoshop, but the other tiny agencies - how will they survive against the new gorilla?
It will also make it difficult to start new agencies, unless it is highly specialized and with expensive content.
Not quite so, storyblocks accepts only authors who create content that buyers need. Moreover, storyblocks constantly deletes those videos that are not in demand. Thus, the storyblocks library contains only the videos that buyers need. Buyers can find what they need there easier and faster. There is also an editorial on storyblocks.

I have another problem. I would like to sell videos on Plus, but I don't know how to apply. They probably don't take everyone.

danielvisuals, if you upload different content to different stocks, then maybe you should become an exclusive author on Getty. With your works you will be taken there. Get very high prices when selling your videos.
It's simpler for me, I upload all my videos wherever they are accepted. It's faster for me.

How well does niche footage perform for video producers who upload to iStock?
Does iStock favor niche content, or is it more suitable for generic, high-volume clips?
I've had great success with my niche footage on Adobe Stock, Shutterstock, and pond5 where I can achieve higher-value sales. However, I'm concerned that niche content might be undervalued on iStock.
I have the impression that iStock is better suited for high-volume, generic clips, while niche footage content performs better on Adobe Stock, Shutterstock, and Pond5.
Upload all your video to ESP (iStock) and find out everything. I don't think anyone knows the answer to your question. If you sell your video by subscription, the prices on iStock will be even higher. If you have a good video, then on Getty there are sales at high prices.

For some reason, I personally prefer books in hardcover rather than paperback. But it doesn't matter.

Compared to January and February, my downloads have decreased by 25%. But in January and February, the downloads were higher than in most months of 2024. In general, it depends on which month you compare with. Compared to March 2024, the downloads have not decreased. True, I have now stopped uploading videos to Motionarray, maybe this has some effect.
In any case, their new royalty scale greatly reduces the income of authors. To get a royalty of 30%, you need to have 4500 downloads, I doubt that there are authors who have so many downloads at least in the middle of the month. They also promised to pay money for the video if it is in the top, maybe someone received this money.
At the moment I don't want to upload a new video to this stock, it's like working for free. But maybe this leads to a drop in downloads for me.

My PDF statements and the amounts on my insight dashboard aren't matching up this year. Seems like they're fiddling with stuff, but didn't they say it would take a few months to work out the new system?
Yes, they said that. But it worries me. You see the number of downloads of your videos for 13 days in March, in your opinion is this the usual number of downloads for this period for you or less than before?

? ? ?
Is there anyone here who sells videos on Motionarray. What are your statistics on the number of downloads in March? Worse than in February and January or not? From my portfolio, I can say that Motionarray somehow artificially reduces the number of downloads, because this has never happened before.

I would also add a few preview pages to your Amazon advertising so that the buyer can see not only the cover, but also what the book looks like visually.
