Veer / Re: Disappearing payments at Veer ?
« on: May 09, 2011, 21:01 »
"I had a payment of $100+ pending, but now it says $0.00 and I haven't received the money (just checked). Also, "past payments" now says "no payment history found", which is not true.
Anyone else experiencing this ?"

YES~me 2, exactly the same thing! I was going to wait till the 15th and if i did not get paid by then i would contact VEER. I was not sure if this was normal happening every time we get a payment?

Re: "We had a customer-facing release this past weekend, so it's possible that created a bug that's affected your account status."
I dont understand hwat his means?

I will send u an email also, hope its ok?

I understand you can set it up to sel EL for more $$, can i do that.
BTW: im only bronz right now, i might not have that option?

Bronze members can set the prices of ELs to 50 credits, silver members and above to 100 credits.

thank you for the info! To bad u cant do it all at once u have to go one by one and set the price higher.

Thanks again,
Nick

This prob will not affect me much, i just started at IS, very few pics. Although i have had a large batch of $ taken away from me at another micro co, for the same reason, "fraud".

This is what is in my mind:

lets say we make and sell a crap load of wiggets to walmart (for resale) and walmart in turn sells them to the public, via there stores.
along comes a groop of scammers/criminals who bought a butt load of our wiggets with stolen credit cards.
walmart would not be charging us for the stolen items?! They would just absorbe it as the cost of doing biz! And possibly follow up with the authorities to try and recup the loss.

Why is it not like this with the micros?

General Stock Discussion / Re: Who copied whom?

But wait, on the other hand does that mean that NO ONE EVER can make the same photo as Yuries ever again?

General Stock Discussion / Re: Who copied whom?
« on: March 02, 2011, 15:01 »
OK, makes sense.

its that sometimes i see someone going too far, complaing "my photo" was copied.
but it was just the concept that was copied. Not the photo exactly!

In this case i see what u guys are saying its an obvious attempt to "EXACTLY" copy yuries photo.

Its a fine line.

What if i copied the photo in question and varied the angel. Camera high right for example. Did i copy it of was i just "inspired"?

Anyway you guys ar right, its a blatant attempt to copy his photo.

how is that pagerisim?

2 diff models
2 diff scales
2 diff apples

The person did not buy/steal his photo and then passes it as his own!?

Does Youri own a patent on the pose concept? banning anyone else from posing with a scale and apple on a white background!!!!

I have been watching people overreact with stuff like this for a while and i never say anything. But i know for a fact we have copied poses and concepts in our own ports, no?

« on: February 18, 2011, 18:39 »
I agree, i love VEER.

Wait till you get a few $35.00 sales.

VEER sales come slower but stronger.

Plus they seem to be a stand up company.

Rock on VEER!

Thanks again for the answers!

Looking foward to giving the free trial a shot for right now.

I like having my foot in the door in as many interesting outlets as possible.

Wishing you/us great sucess,

Each store has its own licensing agreement, we provide the starting point which each store owner can change or replace. That is the agreement buyers accept as the transaction is between them and the store owner direct - we just provide the software to do so.

Unfortunately I expect that buyers will get really confused by this approach.

The idea behind your site is not bad, but having a common framework for licensing (either RF or RM) saves time to people. What if a buyer is looking only for RF images? this very basic search is not possible on your website.
And even if he finds a bunch of RF images, then he should read all terms&conditions on each store because each artist may have changed the agreement and restrict some usages.
For instance, I've seen an image of a laptop computer with the windows logo on it. There is no mention if it's RM or RF. The title on the page states "royalty free image", but this is really confusing since there is no info about release!

Sorry to say it, but I feel that if something is not clear and easy to understand, people will shop elsewhere.

Yes, thats what i was thinking also. One lic aggrement or two, one rm and one rf, standard. this would keep the buyer confusion to a min.

Thanks or answering my questions above.
I belive you said that you will market it iwith the search engin of google? im not to clear on the responce.

one more question: if i bring a buyer to my site and they then search for "...cow smoking a cigar, will results be for just my images of for the entire site?

113
is this like the clustershot model?

We bring in the buyers?
or
do you guys market it and bring in the buyers?

114
Wikileaks~~HA, thats funny ;D

How is that possible, we r talking about photolia~they wont move through to review until you finalize the file, keyword order, catagories....
Did u do that already?

115
Thanks for the info...thats good to know!
Im realy not trying to be a problem.
but im just concerned.

116
Oh no!

i just deleted the pics and it stopped.

117
Do we dare try uploading again?

Can someone try it and let me know if its ok now ;-)

118
hello,
i uploaded 2 pics to your site  and sent one of them to Dt and one to FT. As a test run.

one photo was sent to DT
but
18 photos were sent to Photolia (the same pic)!!!

i deleted them all from FT but your site was still sending them to FT cause the icon for the photo was still yellow meaning it was still uploading.
So i just deleted it (both photos) from your site.

I hope this stops the uploading to FT. Or maybe u can check and see what is going on?

I REALY hope FT does not count this in my aceptance rate!?

I remember reading some site counted photos uploaded but then deleted before they went through to be the review proces against your aceptance percentage.

Anyone know if photolia does this???

Im one of those people who realy sweats his aceptance rate.

Just got off the in line help chat ~ not much help at all.
all they said was they see no problem on there end and my acct is good.

Im going to go to the library later and i will try to sign in from there.
If i cant then it makes sense to assume its a prob on  there side, if i can then it must be my comp.

Let me know if u r able to sign in, i will do the same.

tnx

Wheni go to click history or earning at the bottom nothing happens, its just there, dead. The only thing i see moving it on the bottom left of the page staus it says "error on page".

General Stock Discussion / Re: refusal to approval ratio
« on: November 18, 2010, 14:50 »
im trying to build up my portfolio and as i do im seeing i have little insight to what will be approved or rejected.  wondering how the ratio between refused/approved images affects my exposure on these sights.
i generally upload everything i think is good but im wondering if being more selective (perhaps getting critiques first) is wiser; but there again this slows the process down incredibly.  advice?

Post what sites you upload to, cause diffrent sites have diffrent ways of doing things.

Id like to get a definit answer on Istock~i have been geting conflicting info, when searching for the answer on line.
If we have a very low acceptance rate does it effect our search placement, or anything else?
