See, it is not impossible, but you do require good amount of contributors and then marketing, marketing and marketing... Lot of funding is needed and dedication.

What kind of bugs? I always thought, they are more prevalent in the hot summer months.
I'm thinking mosquitoes...those buggers love the warm weather.
Cgartist, If you have a portfolio of 9k with low download numbers, your portfolio is suffering from quantity over quality issues. It's both a demand and competition issue.
SS sales are fine for me, even during the summer months.
I am a professional vector artist and the portfolio was a huge hit in 2010, then down and down and down.. with more quality uploads, more and more.

This week I´ve made only one sell, but is was a very good price. So this agency moved to place 2.! on my agencies. I´ve currently only 200 images online there.
amazing and congrats, I wish you got a good number here

4 months is no time at all, give it a year and you should be seeing regular sales.
Thanks, lets see that stats for an year waiting.
With a portfolio of 8k and online since 4 month. I had no success with it. 0 sales, make me feel strange.
How did alamy goes for you?
Is it your micro port? They have officially said that generally successful micro pics don't do well there. But otherwise, yes, four months isn't a long time. Well done on suffering managing your 8k images there in such a short time. I can easily be all day doing half a dozen (I don't mean it takes me that long, I just mean I do a couple, have a long distraction break, do another one, another longer break and so on.)
Yes, its a micro vectors portfolio, Its good success in other agencies, being a RM website, I thought they'll go great. But alas!
I'm really not sure if vectors sell well there. There don't seem to be (m)any vector artists posting on their forum, and I don't see many posts here either.
You're not supposed to set RM there if you have the same or similar files as RF elsewhere. Actually that may not be true. I've often read it, with the encouragement to 'read your Alamy contributor contract', but all I can see in the contract is: "You cannot submit identical or similar images to Alamy as both Royalty-Free and Rights Managed. The licence type on Alamy for an image must be the same as the licence type for that image and similar images which you have on other agency websites. " If anyone has official word, rather than peer opinion, about this, can they post the link, please.
Thanks, I think, I didn't wrote correctly, The files are still in RF, but Alamy is RM and RF both so I thought their customer base would be too strong for sales to pick up.

I just notices that sales in top sites is going down a lot. No on demand in shutterstock, sales going down. and the poorest performer is iStock, nearly half a month and 20 bugs with portfolio of 9k. Same with other sites..

Wow, I am not in videos but like their business model a lot... means 100% royalty thats awesome, I think other agencies should think the same way. not 100% but maybe 80%, 90%, I am ok with both.

a small question, the earning which is made here at adobe stock, how are we going to track it?
Will they credit to our fotolia balance instantly if someone purchased stock from adobe stock or are we going to get the share monthly wise.

Main Shutterstock page is now an error page. No pages at all contributer or buyer seem to be responding. DNS? Hacking?
Yea, not sure if they are in maintenance mode or hacked. If in maintenance then they should shoot an email that contributor portal will not be available for a day or two.. I am still worried as I have many files for upload..

Hi, I wrote two messages to [email protected] to delete one of my images and received just the automatic response. I send the first email May 15, second one May 23 and the image is still there. I need this image deleted urgently. What to do? Why is so hard to delete an image from Veer?
Very bad customer support. I also emailed many a times regarding a query but never heard from them, not sure whom to contact now.

We just have to get rid of the greedy agencies...
You are very right.. We do whatever, agencies have highest priority for buyers and lowest priority for contributors. If we get rid of them, agencies will not be affected.. Instead we will surely be.. I sometimes feel trapped..
