I can't wait till weekend when I could put this baby to a real test. In meanwhile I am snapping my daughter so I can get used to buttons and my wide angle lens :-) Out of sudden it's 17mm. I should probably try whole scale of ISO settings to see how far I can go without noise reduction software. I have heard that up to 3200 it's pretty low noise.

Im with you on this one. A "Good best match" is when that person finds HIS images in the top. Meaning some other poor *insult removed* has a bad best match. Its in the eye of the beholder...

It arrived at the beginning of this week. It seems like the only thing that does not fit is battery. User interface changed a little but I guess I will get used to it soon. The thing that really surprised me at first was Auto ISO setting, I thought it should default to 100.
What custom functions do you recommend to set?

Sales are growing extremely slowly but they grow month to month. Upload process is very simple so it's not much pain. I got payout every 2 months.

I try to keep it under 40 so it will meet requirement of most sites and I do not have to edit keywords when submitting.

My Top 5 stays the same. SS is first as always and FT is fifth. SS was a huge disappointment this month. It was second worst month ever. On the other side DT was huge surprise, it almost beat SS. 123RF and StockXpert are getting stronger, both had best months so far. Overall earning from all sites up 68%. Mar Mar/Feb SS 34.38% 83.78% DT 26.71% 702.63% BME 123RF 16.10% 328.83% BME StockXpert 15.32% 238.96% BME FT 2.37% 180.63% IS 1.70% 396.12% YM 1.62% SV 1.25% 500.00% CanStockPhoto 0.25% 200.00% FP 0.29% Total 168.63%

1. April 2008 (I tried in 2005 but gave up after no progress so I got some accounts backdated)
2. It's hard to say, I have been shooting analog for years, went into digital in 2005, no experience in post processing really
3. It was first year I filed taxes :-) Still it is like expensive hobby for me :-)
4. As stated above no profits so far I can only afford myself working for free
5. At the beginning I was trying to offload thousands of photos I did i last couple years but now I try to reduce it to 60 a week
6. Big 6 plus some experiments
7. Gave up Alamy after being sick of constant rejections. I cannot figure out what wrong with my upsizing so I will wait until I get camera with more megapixels.

It's not that crucial for me, unless my old 20D breaks :-) I do most of my online shopping thru Amazon cause I am Prime subscriber there :-) Also I am not going to have much time for shooting till May anyway.

Hmm, B&H Photo did not have it in stock yesterday :-) If it has today I hope it is permanent. On Adorama page I do not even know where text "in stock" is :-) Sometimes sites cheat and you learn that it's not available after you order...
Good part is I can cancel it on Amazon anytime and order somewhere else.

My estimates shows that week before end of month it's going to be disaster on SS. At the same time I got very surprising results on DT and StockXpert.

I have account at 14 sites. Used to upload everywhere but after couple months without results I usually stop so now I actively work with 7.

If you are joining now you already missed this train. IMHO is to much effort with little to gain from. I started uploading there less than year ago and it's almost impossible to get any substantial sales there with my small portfolio. If you extraordinary artist and got 100% of photos accepted you might have enough images to get sales. You may upload 15 images per week and reviews takes weeks. Extremely discouraging.

At the end I sent only two for review but they were accepted. I guess contributor website is big mess now cause they are no longer shown when I log in. I thought photos were rejected but when I open page on Flickr I see little icon for licensing on Getty Images. When I click it goes to my photos on Getty's site. Weird but previews generated by Getty are worse than Flickr originals: 1. Flickr  2. Getty
