And again.... whole batch... Also, the same batch is 100% accepted at IS. I emailed support... I'm waiting now.
I wouldn't want you to feel lonely so I'm letting you know you're not the only one.. No really I just had 45 out of 72 rejected and they all said.."Poor lighting/ Composition" Lights on a boat pier at night...good god there isn't any lighting other than the dock lighting. They even rejected one of my vectors/illustrations for poor lighting. I'm like you the ones they rejected were accepted everywhere else. They just aren't worth the aggravation.

It took four days for my payment (incl. weekend).
Maybe it's the w/e that's slowing down my payment !?

I bet it is the weekend. They don't seem to do much on the weekends. Even their review times are slowed up by the weekend.

I've been having the same problems with login also. They finally reviewed my images today. Rejected 45 out of 72...they want property release for two old barn photos...this old barns are falling down...but they didn't request one for the decent barn in the field....go figure
They actually accepted a shot of a 1948 International Farmall Tractor without a property release. All the rest of them were refused for poor lighting and composition....even the night shots of lite up boat piers for poor lighting. I think the reviewer needs a lesson in reviewing.
Does anyone know if you get a payout if you close your account even though it's below minimum payout?? The ones they accepted won't sell to well on there and the ones they rejected are successful at the other sites....so what to do...what to do....

That poor photographer probably wonders why he has 56 views...when I first looked at it there was only 1...being me. They are probably all from here.
Or maybe he's amongst us here secretly blushing and knowing very well where those views came from.
Maybe he is...hmmmm wonder who it could be???

You guys keep contacting support. Or maybe you are not priority. I received my payment last week, but I never deleted my pictures and I never opted out subscriptions and partner programs. Also, I never asked for my account being closed.
Have you been able to log into your account??? Maybe they closed it and your not aware of it??

These are classified as my husbands, but he was telling me one time when he was a kid he was pulling a wagon behind his tricycle and watching the wagon the whole time. He said he was going pretty fast when all of a sudden he ran right into a stop sign. He hit so hard it threw him off the tricycle into the wagon.
Gotta tell you this one too...even thought he did this as an adult..it would be considered something someone with less maturity would do. He use to always say "Where there's smoke there's fire" It was winter and we had a little auto body shop where we lived and we had to heat it with wood. I was helping him sand down the hood of a car. The fire in the stove wasn't burning very good so he took a gas can and threw the gas inside the wood store.. The next thing I heard was BOOM and then here he comes flying across the top of the hood and onto the floor on the other side. When he stood up I died laughing because his beard, eye brown's and hair at the front were all white where they had gotten hit by the fire. He also had on a polyester shirt and it was all melted. I tried hard not to laugh and the only thing I could say was "You know where there's smoke there"s fire honey" And died laughing again.

You gotta think stock...look at those pictures and think of who...customer wise... could use them? Most of them are dull and flat and lack color. Stock agencies like vibrant images, people photos in various situations, and isolated images. Believe me I know...I get rejects for that all the time. Just think before you shoot about the concept that you want to convey with that photo. You gotta look in magazines...your local grocery store ad...any advertising. That is what microstock is all about. And if you go through with this...better get use to those rejects cause it happens all the time...

I love the ease of their upload process but you do have to watch what your doing. If you click one of the small thumbs it automatically changes all your data to that of the clicked image - including assigned MR's.
I'm sure this is what happened and he didn't even realize it. I had to delete a good 20 images when I realized I didn't have the "categories" button checked as well - I was copying 100% including MRs from some isolated people. lol
I didn't realize it even changed your MR releases as well. I'll have to remember that in the future. I don't usually use it because I always try make sure everything is already key-worded before I upload and saves me the process on 9 different sites. But ever now and then they do sneak by and when they do I get really irritated having to redo and redo on each and every site.

Well it would have lost the photographer sales as well as deposit photos. Some times those late night shifts working on pictures and getting them uploaded, you kinda forget you didn't Ctrl+c when you highlighted those keywords and still had the old keywords and were to tried to even notice. I've even made that mistake before.

...BigStock puts their payments on hold until they clear...how hard is that??
I'm not sure of Bigstockphoto buyers actually have to wait until payment is cleared. We, the contributors only get our credits if they clear within 7 days but I assume the buyers get their images instantly when they "pay".
Yeah your right on that..I don't know what I was thinking, the buyer more than likely does get it instantly. At least at BigStock you can't draw those earnings until they have cleared. That way they can't start deducting it from your account because of the bad sales and end up in a negative balance.

It doesn't affect me monetarily because there is no raise for black diamond even if I were exclusive, but it is still nice to know I will probably make it to BD, even without grandfathering now.
Lisa if you don't mind me asking...how many years did it take to get to Black Diamond and what size is your portfolio? Just wondering....I doubt I'll ever make it there before I die..

How are they gonna lose buyers that don't pay any way?? All they do is gotta check. Why do we have to pay for their ignorance?? Wonder how they would feel if we charged them for liable if that free image they sent before payment cleared was used in a way that it profited the so called buyer?? BigStock puts their payments on hold until they clear...how hard is that??

I was looking at his portfolio and he does have one that is a old bible. I contacted support and told them they needed to contact the photographer about the mistake. I don't think he will be getting any sales for that one..

Now if this isn't a misuse of keywords or bad keywords, which ever you think, I don't know what is!! It's a stack of tires with the title name of "Open Bible"...the word tires isn't even included in the keywords. Here's the photo http://depositphotos.com/view_item.php?id=2173293

I still got three days worth at the 10 MPH speed limit sign. Ah well, per week it's still 4.5 times more than iStock. It's also better not to dump all at the same time but spread you risk of acceptance and also to stretch your exposure on the newest photos.
I hadn't really thought about it, but you're right. I imagine my reject ratio will probably be high because of the bottom of the barrel photos. Some are nature shots that they will probably come back and say we got enough of those. Some were those shots that I just couldn't bring myself to put on microstock because of the prices. Well I realized they aren't making me money sitting on my hard drive so I uploaded them too. It's been awhile since I uploaded to any of the sites because of my camera and I was trying to learn vectors and several of those were rejected last week because I didn't really know what I was doing...so my rejection ratio was already high when I uploaded all of these. By next week I'll be lucky if I can upload two a day..

I just go in everyday and put 10 of them in pending. I have a bunch sitting on there that I uploaded and just waiting till the next day to process them. How come you have only 2 uploads this month then?
Because the camera crapped out and I had to dig at the bottom of the barrel. I just uploaded close to 65...don't remember the exact number...four days ago...they are all still sitting in pending except for the ones that are sitting there waiting to put into pending. I still got three days worth at the 10 MPH speed limit sign.

I had the limit of 10 then I went back in that night and the limit was 52... ? I didn't even attempt to see if it was correct because it was to late to even think straight..anyway the next morning it was back to 10. Now just waiting for tomorrow.

^^ Are you accounting for the tax witholding? The % they promise are before tax witholding.
I filled out the withholding tax thingy on Feb 7, it wasn't validated until Feb 16. I hope they refund the withholding's. That .18 cents is minus the 28%. We'll see what happens where that is concerned. I had already sent the letter to administration before I read this. The web page you gave me to look at for the percentage we get for sales shows 25% for a white ranting. That doesn't make sense.
I had a sale on 1-19-10 for a XS standard = 1 credit for .18 cents.
I had another sale on 1-29-10 for a XL standard = 8 credits for $1.44..that still equals .18 cents a credit.
I had another sale on 2-11-10 for a EL license = 20 credits for 3.60...again that equals .18 cents a credit.
That is 18% not 25%.
There was also a sale on 12-23-09 for a Sub XL for .35 cents. Then a sale for another Sub XL on 2-12-10 for .25 cents....That's a 10 cent drop.
You said that nothing had changed at the contributors end after the recent mix up with the buyers credits increased from $1.00 to $1.20. Why in the world would our percentages go down rather than stay the same or increase??? We'll see what they say. I am so sick of these people!!
