Hi all,
I am having problem some jpg with IPTC metadata isn't able to be read by certain website.
I have a batch of image, some IPTC are read, some aren't not. I tried shutterstock, and cutcaster.
I used Irfanview before, it works fine, and only veermarketplace is not reading 'description', but i have to give Irfanview up since it removes clipping path.
so now i am using photoshop and adobe bridge, but the IPTC data is not consistent showing up.
I have check again in photoshop and the data is there.
I wonder what had make it fail to appear? would like to find out the reason..
anyone can help?

Hi all, interested to try it out..
what i understand is you should upload 10 pictures in flickr and put in the 'call for artists' pool? and just wait?
the photos has to be exclusive to flickr-getty right?
do we need a paid 'professional' flickr account to hold porfolio? thanks.

i know shutterstock is a subscription website and you get any files for a cheap price too, but you get on demand download sometimes and i heard people getting Enhanced license too..
but i can't understand if everyone opt-in the partners program then who will pay for istock price.. but i guess most contributors opt-out.. and i think istock got sub download also? i got $0.19 download like that.
if a buyer want to buy my image through istock website, will the buyer has an option to buy through partners program?

Hi all,
I notice there is an options for istock contributor to opt-in their partner programs, i think it is photos.com and thinkstock.com, right?
both website will sell at flat rate $0.25 for any size to eps files. In this partner website, will we get paid more if the users will use for printing, or more other kind of usage? or whatever they do, you will only get paid $0.25?
and my other question is the same file will be sold with higher price if you bought through istock? how is it going to work for istock to sell same files at 2 price?
thank you.

ya it is veer marketplace, the support is helpful and replied me with screenshots of how to click the 'use artboards' option. But i think there is not option for CS3.
I have quite a batch of vectors rejected and i wonder what i can do, i usually just get my vector done and then use crop tool to set the how i want the jpg look like and save as eps.
anyone has an idea? what make CS4 prompt that legacy artboard message to CS3 files?

hi anyone has an idea what to do?
i sent an email and i was informed that CS4 user may get the prompt message but not CS3 i am using, and i was advised to 'save as' again with the 'use artboards' unchecked. but in my CS3, i can't see the 'use artboards' checkbox at the 'save as' interface.
anyone knows how to call out this options?
thanks.

Hi all,
I got a lot vectors rejected by an agency and the reason is
Other concerns. Legacy Artboards: Make sure the artboards box is not checked when saving
I email them for more information and i was told:
We're sorry for any confusion. It looks as though much of your vector submission included this "Legacy Artboard prompt" or dialog box upon opening your files.
If you are using CS3 then what might be happening is that the file isn't being saved correctly.
You may want to check your options in "Save As." When you save your file to an eps format there is a small box to the left (in both mac and PC versions) that says "Use Artboards." Make sure that box is not checked and hit save. By leaving the box unchecked your image should open with out any issue.
I tried to google and check my CS3 save as option, i just don't see that 'use artboards' check slot. what could be the reason? i have no problems for all these files to be accepted in other agencies.
anyone can help? i am using ai CS3..
thank you.

I check the website, and if you try to register as photographer, there is 4 plan? and you need to pay 0.35cents EURO? can it be deducted from sale? and which plan a photographer should choose?

I find that it needs a lot of clicks to access statistic, portfolio, sales.. I suggest making a sales figures on page. Every time i need to check any sales i have to click 'transactions' -> 'my sale', if i want to check payout then i have to click transactions -> payout.
It will be very easy if sales and payout figures can just put on page top for easy viewing, instead of making a few clicks.

Hi All,
Vectors or Photos are selling better? I am starting to submit photos since i only recently got my DSLR..
I was submitting some vectors and little photos, that scanned from my negatives..
My best is in shutterstock, and the vectors are selling okay..as my photos are relatively little so i am not sure photos can sell as good as vectors?

hope bigstock can read IPTC from the JPG preview uploaded together with eps. Got some sales recently in bigstock, but takes time to copy and paste the IPTC is slowing down everything.

i encounter problems that i uploaded few zipped files, but canstockphoto uploading system will misread IPTC data and preview image of files, i can see the original files information is the correct zipped file names, but all preview image and IPTC during 'unfinished' editing stage are wrong.

i notice that eps file will be sold as eps only. Do you think we can upload jpg separated as another online image for sale? just like what shutterstock does..
I think the portfolio page in member page is required to have some kind of set up.. will check it.

oic..so it is different.
I still can't find a interface that view my approved images as what a buyer may sell. I just want to check whether a eps vector will also sell as jpg?
I only found my images under 'approved' tab, but when i click it, just a small pop-up windows that enlarge the picture..nothing else.

Hi all,
got a few questions about veer marketplace.
is veer.com is a stock website that is different with veer marketplace? I read in their faq that a contributor in veer marketplace will be considered and invited to be veer.com contributor if they are good enough.
I can't find any interface like 'my porfolio' in veer marketplace..my approved images are just under 'dashboard'.
still new to this website..
