I'm in Cambodia at the moment, their internet gets routed from Vietnam as far as I'm aware. Had trouble finding an average cost of living price for Italy, but if we go by the average monthly salary of 2083 Euros a month (minimum wage being 1381 Euros for a full time role), I should be just fine on my average income of around 2600 Euros after tax.
Not all of us have access to spacemen etc. Unfortunately. I think the other issue is 38c v 25c. If you were a company, which would you give priority to in the search? My files which used to sell regularly have simply disappeared off the radar.

I fancy it's a good idea. They (500px) may just sell a bit more - and if I can get some photos in at a higher level on FT I'm happy.

Well that sure makes me feel a lot better......! (sorry - can't find an emoticon for sarcastic)
I note that Artist was bemoaning a 'Very poor sales today, I have not even crossed 20% of the daily I receive'. Guess there's been a massive turnround or else s/he has a port of about 24 pics!

No ELs. Barely any ODDs. No SODs over $1. Record low number of DLs. This is truly dire......

Improvements in the search filter? It doesn't seem to find ME any more......

I used to reckon 25 or so DLs per day. Less than 20 was a bad day. Now I struggle to get 10.

ok, Alamy isn't a big seller, but has tended to tick over at a fairly consistent rate for a while. But the last month - since the changes maybe? - zip. Zilch. Nada. Anybody else found this? I've been doing categories etc for new stuff in the name of 'discoverability' but have done nothing to older files. Seriously....life is too short! But sales have gone the way of the dodo.....

If you don't speak then you definitely won't be heard. If you do speak - then maybe or even probably - not. But you never know..... Oh well. Can only mention.... Onwards!

I'm surprised nobody is interested in this - when SS changed the front page almost nobody liked it....and it is clunky, unhelpful, just not done well. Now they are evidently looking to change the submission process.
As a result, it seems that now would be a good time to get on SS forum and express views on what could be done better (in my view reviewing) and what shouldn't be touched (in my view most of it; if it ain't broke etc.
Clearly, only a sample of contributors got the questionnaire (which is maybe what happened with the front page) but getting in with comments may help avert a total screw-up, no?

Well - after months with 100% acceptance, and years of 80% plus, I've just had 2 batches 100% rejected for under exposure! What the heck? They are NOT under exposed. I KNOW this! Assorted pics from assorted places in different light situations. Maybe they have a newbie reviewer with a dodgy screen or something? Or a glitch on their auto software? MEGA irritating. And to really rub salt, each rejection came not once but 4 times! It's a shambles. The sales are barely worth submitting - let alone resubmitting. Grrrrrr Happy Monday! Grrrrrr

Seems they are out to tinker with this now. Few tweaks ok - but it looks like they are after ANOTHER OVERHAUL. Fasten your seatbelts.......

I also bumped into a course on Skillshare about getting into microstock, especially SS. So many new submitters, no way can new buyers match this...

I also wonder what kind of release. Here in Italy I have been provided with all sorts of half-baked documents with 'model release' written at the top (photo sharing, photo events etc) and have always had to insist on getting my own also. Just another reason I do very few pics with models.....

anything remotely topical or natural history is well irrelevant! Sales are never great here (!) but this can't help! Herrumph.

Haven't seen a $2.38 'standard' SOD for days. But quite a few at 58, 77 and 90 c. OK, better than some sites but still
