It looks like it's true, because the keywords order on the site is not the same order as i have it.
Fotolia also has keywords alphabeticaly orderd on their site.

I also dont understand why all 55 million community images are considered part of a catalogue if they are not for sale.
It's somewhat complicated for 500px: all the images are searchable in the market, even the ones not for sale, I think. And the buyer can request to buy any images; the photographer can accept or not.
I think you're correct.

I don't see, why it wouldn't be worth it. If you already prepare images for other agencies and put the Titles and keyword in IPTC data, all you have to do is upload and submit. You don't even have to choose categories, so it's really fast.

Yeah, I like that too, that you can get sub sale at high price. I had one for 5$ recently. And two 1,32 and one 0.99 today.

How long it was between request and actual sale?

Thanks or the info. I was already celebrating my first EL on DT. I don't understand, why would anyone send EL request and then not buying file.

A few days ago, I got an email from DT that someone wants to buy one of my photos as P-EL and if I agree, I should enable that checkbox that allows EL licensing. So I did that witihin half an hour after I received e-mail. But my earning balance hasn't changed since then so obviously buyer didn't buy that photo (yet?).
So I'm curious if someone has similar experience, how long does it take after enabling EL licensing and actually receiving money.

I think photos for "prime" collection are hand-picked by editors from "core" collection.

Every agency should have like a "report" button to report keyword spam. https://eu.fotolia.com/id/82109626- hair, pregnant, running... ? spanking?? d-amn!

Since we're talking about understanding fotolia sales, I had some weird sales today. I had 3 sales of the same file in a period of 2 minutes, first sale was 0.29 sub sale, second was 0.38 sub sale, and third was 0,63 sub sale. And those were the first three sales of that file.
Would anyone know, what was that all about?

So what you're saying is, that if I download only preview of one of your images it will show on your map? Not to mention that SS didn't have previews until 1 month ago. I know, that location of the sale can't be precise. But I always thought that what shows on our maps is an actual sale.

Well, last two days I had some issues, when a thumbail of a sale showed up on my earnings report, and then when I checked again 15 minutes later, it was gone/dissapeared . But eventualy it showed up again like 1 hour later and it stayed there. Maybe you have similar problems...
I'd send them email

Sales that show up on a map aren't reported immediatley on your earnings page. There's a delay, I'd say about 15 minutes or so, for sale to show up as a thumbail on your earnings page and about an hour for a sale to be added to your total earnings.

Thats true. If you click on "View portfolio" keywords are not displayed. But if you check individual image (if you go with mouse cursor over an image and click right button and then open it in new window), they're there.

In a few years shutterstock will move to low-earners because our photos will be so dilluted, we'll be happy if we reach payout once a year.

According to some users in this thread, they have regular sales. Whether it's true or not I don't know. I didn't have any sales so far. I'm with them about 1,5 year.

Or you can write a message on a photo and send it for review.

And that thing, when you get to the bottom of the page and starts loading the next set of photos, and when you again get to the bottom of the page with this newly loaded sets of photos again starts to load new sets of photos..... It SO ANNOYING.... Why can't just be Page 1, 2, 3 ..... it would be much more transparent and easier to browse through large ports...
That idiot thing actually discourages me, to check all photos. I only check 1 or 2 "loads" and then close the page. Like, who wants to scroll down forever to find what you're looking for.

Ok, so I created a set, un-clicked "public" and uploaded a photo to that set. Now if I go to my main page, that photo doesn't show. But people are still liking it. How can that be? How did they found it?
Also, if I go to my main photo page and click "sets" it says You haven't created any sets yet, which is not true because I did create two sets.
This site is so complictaed....

Uf, like if you were reading my mind. I too find it kind of weird to upload, for example typical stock stuff (like food or medical stuff or whatever), when 500px is more about likes and favs and the most popular photos there are landscape and travel and thing like that.
Now, most of my photos on 500px are animals and some other nature stuff, and I have about 300 followers. It would be kind of weird if I started uploading typical stock/commercial photos.

I was once doing reverse-search of one of my images on google image search (two bee-eaters sharing a bee) and it was used in an article about how should people work together and cooperate and all that BS.
So I left a comment in the article how they're writing about cooperation and sharing amongst people, yet they didn't even bother to put at least a credit to the owner of that photo (which was me).
They removed it witihin an hour.

Images for Prime are being reviewed
Images that aren't in prime collection are still avaliable at core collection and therefore avaliable for sale. So this "they rejected my best selling images" is just bull-crap. They weren't rejected, they just weren't accepted at prime. Notice the difference?

How can be something, that isn't reviewed, rejected?
