My GOD! what has become of you all here?? 5-6 years back this forum was full of people that could give and take an argument, Bickering or something wrongly said, NOW look at you!! just look!..bunch of supersensitive twatts that is ready to jump on just anything!...makes me want to puke!...this is a stock-forum, not some Metoo gathering or Politically-correct garbage!
Since I wrote that comment I've had 6 of the old school on my mail telling me to just leave it and let these twatts whallop around in their own mess!...truth is you wouldnt last 5 minutes in the real world of creatives, no time for you!...go back to mummy and hang her in the skirt!....now do what you do BEST! talk sheit on my back when turned!...I have to go and vomit!....the man above MicroVet! liste to what he is saying!! and learn!
Maybe your 6 old school friends are right, just leave. But you stay to attack and insult us, calling names. Seems a leopard doesn't change its spots was spot on. You are amused trolling for attention that's the only reason you come here. You don't like when we get along and disagree respectfully.

I have all in all spent over 35 grand on all kinds of video equipment and thats apart from the Black-Magic recorder itself, the only one thing that pay are production companies NOT any Micro and NOT Getty or any other stock-agency!...the all get peanuts and cents!....now if you can work your way into various large Prod-companies then its worth it but for stock-agencies, forget it!!
although a Gimble is of course worth it for yourself so buy it! it does help a lot!
Sorry for being a bit negative but thats the way it is!
Why do you come to a micro site to tell us how good you are other places, and how terrible micro is. Then complain about caps and searches on micro, how terrible your earnings are. Don't you have your secret forum to make fun of us. Doesn't make sense.

If you were standing in the field on private property, you need a property release. I dont think its the plane that is the problem.
I'd need a release for the air above or for indefinable corn? Are you serious?

of total free time to shoot, process, and upload, how many images do you think you could create?
Some of you probably already have that free time but what if you could take a six month break from your day job?
6,000 being new the forum shows me related messages and some are very old.

As the title said... I am doing 40% of what I was doing 4 months ago. That also mean that I'm now doing the same revenu as what I was doing in 2014 ! with half of the footage and images uploaded. Is it really possible that just by not uploading Shutterstock algorithm drom the value of the entire folio ? I don't understand... I have about 7000 files which include 2000 videos. Major major drop. and it's droping every months. I've just uploaded 100 new images since I'm worried and will find the time to upload videos soon but hey - if I'm not uploading it's because I'm on an other project that needs that cash flow ! What . ! By chance other agencies are crushing well during this rough moment. So - anyone experiencing a major drop like that ?
No drop but I keep uploading. Have you tried starting again to see if you have been account killed or if sales will come back?

I believe you are overthinking it....all products in any industry have a similar life cycle. Nothing "special" about microstock pictures.
Or microstock the business, the agents, or our photos. Secret codes, where does this come from, sci-fi movies? "Klaatu barada nikto"

Find something in Manhatten if that's where you want to shoot, but already popular and over supplied, you will make little and wonder what's wrong. Be different.

Right now AS is the pickiest of the major choices. If the other small places accepting the shots are getting no sales, you know why.
Check your ISO, try to set for the lowest which is 100 for most cameras. In a pinch maybe 200. Exposed 1/3rd over and bring the shadows down. If you expose the light and bring up gamma or brightness, that will always introduce noise. Downsize your images, which will reduce noise a little. Noise reduction software usually makes pictures softer and you'll start to get that rejection.
Post examples is the best way for anyone here to see and help.
