StockXpert.com / Re: New rejection reasons
« on: November 13, 2006, 14:25 »
I've recently recieved that message and did email them for a clarification. They did respond back with a detailed explanation so I can now decide whether or not I want to resubmit the files. I just take their rejections for what they're worth regardless if I feel they're being too picky.

StockXpert.com / Re: How is StockXpert doing for you?
« on: October 07, 2006, 11:22 »
For me StockXpert is the most strict of the sites in terms of approval! More strict than Istock! I started uploading one month ago and still have a very small portfolio there (32). I was aware of their "no noise" policy, which is really extreme, but to get images rejected for " not being what they're looking for" in annoying, especially when their library has very few images of that subject. example: crab

Another gripe is when a image is rejected(usually for noise) and your asked to make a change to it and then have it rejected for a quality issue once the change was made!

I'll see how it goes since my portfolio is diverse! If I get enough images approved then this may be a enjoyable site for me to submit to!

Bigstock.com / Re: Big Stock Revenues
« on: September 20, 2006, 08:16 »
Hi everybody,

I have a portfolio on Bigstock and I think I know why sales seem to be consistently infrequent. There is something about how their system ranks keywords! In my case I could have the title of a photo, which descibes the photo, and is also listed first in the keywords, but the photo may not show up using the search terms or it may be located near the last page on that search! There were even photos that didn't remotely fit the search terms that showed up before my photos! Keywording is something I'm very familiar with and my results work great on the other sites I upload to except Bigstock. I sent a inquiry about the best way to use keywords on their site but haven't got a response.

As you all know, keyword searches are the best way someone can find your photos!

Anyone else notice this with their submissions?

Adobe Stock / Re: Does Fotolia Really Have Over 1 Million Images?
« on: September 08, 2006, 14:14 »
I don't  know if they have a million or more images or not, but I get a nice amount of views at that site compared to the others I submit to because their system works well when it comes to keywording!
