On my page on Microstockman's reply the url under his ava overlaps into the forum thread.

yeah, mine too.  I'm not sure what to do with that except force perhaps remove things like that from the sidebar.  Still thinking what the best / easiest solution is.

very cool graph! Polls - Monthly Poll Results

http://www.microstockgroup.com/index.php?page=PollResults

I'm glad someone noticed :)  So far there is only 7 months on the 'new system' but as more months are completed I'll add more to the graph

That sales and marketing budget is monstrous. Looking at these numbers, I guess they couldn't pay contributors 50%.

yeah, it'd be pretty fun to see the various marketing budgets of the different agencies.

On my phone, the actual discussion text column is only 3-4 words wide.  Makes for loooooong pages to scroll down.  Less space around the avatar would help.

done and done - is that better?

Yeah, now bring back the bright colors to the new messages so they jump out. The duo-tone blue on grey needs some pep.

Where are you referring to?  On the front page?

hearts in place.  Can't you feel the love already  :D

The system is now essentially the same as before except you can see the number of hearts a person has received for a post and the page doesn't have to reload when you give a heart.

The pole is flawed anyway. It's a dumb idea, but I like it, where's #3 for all of the above?  :D

As for Lisa's message it says Vote, so I clicked to see if I could vote 1-2-3-4-5 stars and nope, it just increased one heart. Could be we are all just testing her message because it's there and has the positive only thoughts, plus the red heart which is attractive.

So Yes to, No Negatives? Is that the answer?  ::)

The stars thing was tested yesterday and was a bit obtrusive.  The hearts are more subtle and I think work better.

I think they already said they aren't planning on releasing the camera as a product.  It was just a promo for a press event. :(

I've been using an app called Tapatalk to read the forum on my iPhone and iPad.  It's been broken since the update.  Lists of posts show up, but I get an error when I try to select a post to read: Unknown Error: It appears the server has some issue with Tapatalk or your session is expired. If this problem persists, please re-enter this forum from Account tab.  Tried that, same result.

Thanks - yeah I haven't installed tapatalk on the update.  I can do it now

I like the heart button we've always had.  It's nice to praise someone who has gone out of their way to be helpful.

However, I don't like the idea of a thumbs down.  We want people to give honest opinions, not to get caught up in trying to be "popular" and only say things that other people will agree with.   I am afraid a thumbs down might have a chilling effect on people giving their honest opinions.  I still remember the Istock forum ratings system and it was a disaster.

If it ain't broke don't fix it would be my vote, if that was an option :)

well you got 6 thumbs up for this so you must have hit a cord.  I agree the hearts were nice and give a good indication of what they should actually be used for.

Now it is not visible to me either?

It should just be a little thumb beside the word Quote.  You don't see that?

But... are we all going to scroll back in time to see how our post was rated?  (Who has the time?) Aren't only late-comers to a thread going to see the full rating of a post?

I don't think I fully comprehend the usefulness of this idea.

Yeah, it would mostly be for late comers and a way of showing your appreciation to the poster.
If a person comes into a post or is visiting the site from outside they will be able to know of a post is off the wall or a very useful popular post.

The spaces behind the rounded menu buttons look funny and the top logo should be a link to the home page.

it just keeps loading forever..

tried on internet explorer, tried on chrome, same result!

... and ever and ever..
and ever.
and ever...

my trick, which works sometimes is to load the History first, then once it load click on earnings then wait 10 minutes and if the moon is in the right spot in the sky, your earnings will show.

I don't use it often, but I think there's value in the forum equivalent of the Facebook "Like" to let someone know you thought their post was particularly useful.

I don't need a thumbs down as you just skip those posts (and if it's a whole series of them, you ignore the poster).

We are talking about what used to be the heart button, corred?

Yeah, it would essentially be the heart button - with a little more visibility of what people think. It is already installed so you can test it out.  I'll remove it if it is useless.

Where? I don't see it.

Sorry, I messed up on the permissions.  You should see it now

What do you think? Is it a nice feature to be able to rate a person's post?  ... or is it just useless

thanks for all the fixes

Wouldn't it be better to include Envato instead of both PhotoDune and Graphic River? I upload both photos and vectors and it's too time consuming to calculate the earnings for each site.
I enter all Envato earnings to PhotoDune and it drastically changes poll results.  :D

Yeah, perhaps it would be.  Your earnings are all together when you visit either photodune or graphicriver?

If we're wishing, I'd love a Home button at the bottom of each page, if possible.

I'm heading to bed now but I'll take care of that tomorrow.  I'll also remove some of those useless things below our user names on the side.

done

So wth are the little gold boxes and what do they represent?

Some have 5 and some have one?

They were to do with how many posts you made.  I've removed them now.

I'm wondering if people want the number of posts shown beside your post in each thread.  Is it nice to see how long a member has been here or is it nice with a clean layout and to have that gone?
