Free Collection nomination banner has been disappeared on my side?
Hi Mat, Can we manually submit the work in free collection after the nomination has ended?

Hi Mat, If I nominate all eligible assets say 50 files then will all those 50 files be selected or will Adobe make a selection again in that number?

In one word - constipation!
Downloads are constipated. Dollars are constipated. Reviews are constipated. Everything is constipated.

Almost reporting time for July so I went back to check how the first half of the year had gone?
This is Connect only...
Earned 0.99 USD (wow almost a dollar in six months) 1333 sales Average: 0.00 USD each sale
It's actually $0.000742685 per download, how's that for an RPD?
Makes the SS 10 subs look like gold?
Is 0.99 USD your overall iStock earning in 6 months and that to with 1333 downloads? I doubt.
He said, "This is Connect only"
Thanks, I just skipped this part.

Hi everyone,
This thread has triggered a deeper look into rejection rates by our team. During this process we identified an issue that may be impacting some of you. There was a recent update that impacts how thumbnails are generated. The thumbs are now dependent on the art board size. Those of you setting your art board too small (below 1000 pixels) are likely seeing rejections on content that is similar in quality to what you had previously had approved.
To avoid this while were working on a fix, please set your art boards at >1000px, ideally ~10MP area.
For those of you that took me up on my offer and sent some example image ID numbers, thank you very much. This information was very helpful. In future posts, if you are comfortable sharing, please be sure to include image ID numbers.
thanks again,
Mat Hayward
If this is related to artboard then Adobe needs to fix it. As a designer, we prepare files months before any event. Now, how to re-fix all the files again, it will be huge time consuming.

Reviews are definitely done by bots. That's what I learn from the intellectual property rejection of a simple nature shot. Title or keywords probably goofed the system.
While the answer might be the keywords were the reason for the rejection, it's still interesting that nature can get an Intellectual Property rejection. Maybe you could send the image and everything to Mat and get a real answer, WHY?
I can understand pre-qualifying images, using computers, before review, and in the past the answer has been, a human looks at every image that is reviewed, I wonder if Mat can confirm this?
Are all image reviews still viewed by a human? I suppose a way around that would be, the Bots do the reviews and a human takes a look to see if they got it right, which isn't really Human Review.
Content is (still) reviewed by actual human beings.
thanks,
Mat Hayward
Still getting rejections. I doubt that "only" humans are reviewing the files.

Seems odd that the external is not working as well. Have you tried it on a different computer? Unless you had some kind of lightning strike or EMF blast?
There is no standard. People pay a bunch of money for Carbonite (or similar data storage), I prefer HHD and various copies, on the computer and external. I suppose I'll add, I do use old smaller internal drives - from laptops or desktops that I retired, and back up years, and put those on the book shelf. You could also have a RAID drive with disk array which is internally redundant. 4T of drives will back up 2T of data.
I tried with other systems too, the external HDD light is not even turning on. Its been around 6 month from last usage.

My main system is a RAID 5 rack. RAID 5 is ensuring seamless protection against 1 HDD failure (the system continues to operate with only 4 HDDs). Besides the protection against failures, the system has a much faster read speed, because it reads data from all HDDs at the same time. I switch the rack on only when I work on photos/videos.
Additionaly, I regularly back up critical data from this RAID5 on a second smaller RAiD5 AND on a single high capacity HDD, which are otherwise always switched off.
I also save all my JPEGs on Amazon Photos.
All this, because years ago I also lost a no back-up HDD and I still feel the pain.
I can understand the data lost pain. Going through it now. Can you share any tutorial which guides the procedure for RAID5?

I maintain three sets of external drives. 140tb total data stored.
I am thinking of this method. Do you take backup one by one of all three or any technique you follow for faster backup?

Hello Artist,
I'm sorry you're having a hard drive crash. Data recovery software might help you. I've had problems with a memory card and the software to restore almost all data. I used Wondershare Recoverit. As far as I know there is also a free trial version. There are also some local providers who can repair damaged hard drives or save the data. However, this is often associated with higher costs.
Best regards from Germany Photohom
Yes, I am in follow-up with local data recovery agent. They are investigating it and hopefully give me some positive news.

Hi, Recently my system got crashed and I lost my data. Tried recovering it but all corrupted. The external HDD I had some backup on is also not reading. Can anyone guide me the personal procedure you guys follow to take backups? Or what is the industry standard for taking backups?

I am also seeing some weird rejections with reason. Your file has one or more of these issues:
Your vector file contains a raster/bitmap image, and vector files must not contain raster elements. Your JPEG preview file has been compressed too much, so textural problems have occurred in the file. Your JPEG preview resolution must not be less than 5,000 X 3,000 (15 million pixels) You didn't use anti-aliasing when exporting your vector file to JPEG, so there are problems with lines on the JPEG file. Although, all my files are accurate and have been approved by other agencies.

Obviously expense is more than the profit. The prices will get lower and will touch the lowest of low. Freepik was sold to a investor at a good amount and now they need the cream and butter.
Sustaining with such business model is hard for company as well as contributors.

2.2 million contributors with "5 million to 10 million assets being added every single quarter."
2 to 5 uploads per contributor in quarter. I wonder how many active contributor they have.
As far as I see more than 90% content is pure garbage.

I just realized that I entered the wrong email address for my Skrill account. So that's why I haven't been paid for June! I just corrected the information in my Shutterstock account. Money for June no longer appears in my Shutterstock dashboard and I have not received it. Has anyone had this happen? What will happen next?
Can be two case here: 1- You accidently entered the wrong email and payment was sent, if email ID do not exits then the payment get reversed, in this case you will have to contact shutterstock regarding this. 2- Your SS account was hacked and someone changed the payout email to very similar one, in this case you lost the payment to the hacker

I never nominated any files... how does it works? Like if I nominate 100 files will they take all 100 or will they choose from the nomination?

The difference is that Shutterstock pays too little, and Freepik pays 65% of too little.

Go to the batch of which the image belongs to. Find your image in the batch. At the right of the screen, the reason for rejection or revision is given in red.
Nothing is mentioned.. It has status as revisable, but no reason is mention on what do I need to revise in it..

Some files were rejected and I am allowed to revise and re-submit.. but what I have to revise, how can I find the reason of rejection inside deepmeta?

Why they are not visible in deepmeta?
