My SS BME (around +50%) in DL but not in income, however still very good $. Surprised to see that result in Feb. Alamy is quiet in sales after great Jan. Zooms more and more so hopefully it will change into $ asap.

This thread (and website) is just a waste of time. Sorry Henry - your start was not good here. Looks like 100% people gave you the same reply - there's no carrot. We now offer an Extended License option - a single image cost $80 or $40 if the customer has an active subscription with us. Your royalties will be the regular 20% ($16 / $8) This is just a shame (for photographers). With your offer 20% (of low pricing) just don't bother. The honest answer is that the royalty % is calculated on what allows us to grow our business and support our team. Your calculations won't allow us (authors) to grow. You say you are small agency and pricing can't be large? How then is it possible that (for one of few examples) Stocksy sells for nice pricing? And... We already have micros with low pricing and they (at least SS) have mass clients. Why would any of us devote time on you more than doing new work for already good sellers? Why you think we should upload our work to you? Good pricing and royalty? Support local or fair treating? Good marketing (bringing rich clients)? etc.

I said it in another post. They have no reason to give a raise. Everything is going great.
Every time they do an announcement it's about excellent financials and huge growth. Contributors are submitting a bazillion new images a month with a bazillion new contributors joining all the time. Buyers are flocking to them and abandoning higher priced places. They've rewarded themselves for a job well done by moving into an insanely expensive office in NY.
Why would they give contributors a raise? No problems to fix, no need to give a raise.
Paulie, I'm really sorry to say you are right!

How can you know who are your customers on microstocks (except the [few] one you are in direct contact with)?
It's easy - I see their publications here and around

As for putting your images elsewhere, if they cant find yours, they will pick someone elses. Dont think that your image is the image everyone is waiting for. Where your is not yours, but in general. Yes and no. If you do only tomato isolated level - yes, I agree. But if you produce something more niche, not covered by milions, good keyword, you can expect client to find you and follow your work. I have my regular clients and they know I'll bring them new stuff to make article etc... So it's not imagination only

as a long as people sell the same pictures for much lower prices on other sites (DPC comes in mind) there will be no raise!
Golden point! Nothing more, nothing less to add, it's so obvious...

I'm not with Envato and I don't know them but I'm reading about tax problem and big rejections and I need to ask you here - what is so exceptional with them that you try so hard to have your work on Envato? What makes it worth the time and work? Do they sell so much or for a lot $? What is the secret to bother with all this problems? If I'm correct they are pretty new in the market? May I please in short word?

I see very nice images worth a lot and given out for free... I'm confused for 1000% Should I want money for my work anymore?

For now they sell both POD and licenses. You as a contributor get to choose whether to allow one or the other or both per image. Not really. Lately my friend registered here to sell her paintings and she can't. She's been told there's no more that option for new comers...

Maybe this image was exclusive here? And of course congrats on your sale!

There is some free option but generally you have to pay for the sweets
But you don't have to pay to sell images and earn money If you need some extra "sweets" than yes, pay some $ for this. If you have free account you upload up to 19 images weekly. My first sale came around 30-50 images in port. You can sell some images exclusively for higher money but you chave a choice still. Now the bad news - they don't give watermark on images that can be easy shared, so you have to do double work: prepare and upload small size with your watermark, and then upload oryginal size to shop so you could sell it. I don't understand their policy in that thing. It's not so complicated to set up system to do this work for us...

POD site with large images display, zoom it (choose only image, not example how it will look like) and click F11 to see big size for full screen... No watermark. Not encouraging.

Has anyone uploaded directly to the site? edit: looks like you can't upload directly, they just get images from their partner site. Now, after few years, you can upload directly but... they never reply emails...
