Actually with rotations, search manipulations and exposure there is a real reason to worrry with news on SS. Somebody will have his port under danger, somebody stay protected.

Still nothing? Just checked again, now it's small preview with no watermark (at least I can't see it).
Yes no watermark on small previews at all.

10.000 views in 2 days in total unknown agency. Guys, you really believe him?
It is usual bots visits. Can be third party or ordered by a site. Create false impression of popularity. Nothing to do with "organic" traffic.

For money they pay they want us to follow so different procedure. That's why they are the last in my list.

Can be related to changed proportion of subs and EL in favor of subs in ss? And by content it is coming from SS. Editorials for print.

Wouldn't Canva have a much more civilized option to achieve their goal rather than kicking people/images out of their company?
I'm thinking of implementing a search algorithm that factors together the content quality, initial quality rating and time online to simply let successful older files slowly sink down the search results to be replaced by higher quality content that has been recently approved?
I thought SS kind of has a way to solve this issue.
I remember DT didn't change their algorithm for several years (at the beginning) which meant that successful files from the early days ALWAYS showed up on the top of the search results. Eventually they understood that newer (and better quality) content needs to be presented to customers (also to mix up their search results anyway) and so the former successful sellers slowly sunk down.
If they do different way then that was not their purpose. Please see the comment below yours, the next one.

Give them a chance. The image preview is very big, maybe too big, but its a good thing for credit image buyers, they see now what they buy! :-)
I think we already gave too many chances for any sort of agencies during these years. They know exactly reaction of different types of buyers on different layout and presentation. The trend is to grow their own content and not depend from contributors, and any ways are good for them

With the same sales they become a nightmare to submit. I upload by FTP, but then - submit only if i watch something on tv, their server is like a snail

Expected with last changes there. Easy removeable watermark will attract huge traffic. For agencies which regularly demand for free contribution from photographers with false statement that this will increase their income, now open another way - not needed to ask, just take and share. With rotations and play with search agencies will keep their favorited suppliers selling, for them no problem. For false accounts with stolen images, no matter to whom they belong to in reality, no problem too.

I rarely use a tripod. Compare to others seems i have extremely steady hands - many of my low light photos are taken with 1/15, 1/30 and even with 1/8(if longer - of course, something supported my camera :-)). Anyway i try to use max speed when it is possible. In such conditions it is more important that subject does not move, not hands of a photographer. In studio with models usually it is 1/200-400 for me. BTW - for low light i try to use less heavy lens of course and not my favorite 24-70

I have a lot of automated traffic too, but from Unated States, different states and cities. But yesterday from Germany 16000 hits.

Thank you. Just checked - they gave priority to editorials, exactly they are online and one was downloaded probably in some minutes after it was shown in my port

I see that last time status e-mail didn't arrive, i simple found my new images online in my port. Or they stopped to send them?

With photos it worked. Bad thing, that they started just ALL rejections mark as previously rejected. I don't do re-uploads there at all, so it is a new trick, unfair and unfriendly. Bad sign for agency

Firstly, welcome to the forum.
If you want to connect to other new users, you can check out the *newbies only* forum area here http://www.microstockgroup.com/**newbies-only**/
In regards to starting threads, members who are 'lurkers' (those who have less than one post) are not able to start new threads. This is an effort to cut down on spambots.
Once you have made one post, your status is upgraded to 'Newbie' and you can start your own threads.
Also: when you do start a new thread, please give the thread a descriptive subject. If you are going to ask a question, put the question in the subject. A thread that is titled 'a question for you' or 'I am having problems' is not helpful and will probably not get a very good response. Instead try 'I am having problems with my ftp program Filezilla' or 'What is the best FTP software?'
understood, totally -- I mean, for the spambots portion of which we have more than enough ourselves on our own (significantly smaller-than-Microstockgroup) websites out there...
Lex, it is not correct. I am several years already here. I had some cases when it was better to start a new thread, but never ever it was allowed. I had advises from other microstockers that person even with multiple posts should send a demand e-mail to support first. This corresponds to cases when absolutely new person could receive possibility to create a new thread

They seems to be back at top tier, but for how long....?
Not for a long time if they cannot fix their payment security. Refunds become more often than at FT

All rejections are marked as "previously rejected". By accident there was uploaded an editorial file. First time but they want to mark it as already rejected before

CS also have a really irritating habit of rejecting images for keywords. When the keywords are 100% fine. Azure - synonym for sky-blue - recently caused a rejection. And the object in the photo WAS this colour. But no stress. They don't sell anyway.
The same. Name of the saint for statue did not work for them. No stress too. Others sell.

After several days of unchecked "sell the rights" today i see it checked again! DT==FT? It is clear that checkbox cannot check/uncheck on its own. I noticed that this comes not always. Submission of several images can pass normally and then for next i have all boxes checked. DT - i never wanted to sell the rights!

I have the same patterns. The last week of a month is "correcting the balance" in + or in -, depending from average. So no progress is possible with ss for a contributor.

It's obvious that SS now has a front door, and a back door. An ordinary contributor has to go to the front door and pass inspection. Some people, however, are allowed to bring wheelbarrow loads of junk in the back door.
I shouldn't even care, because I don't submit microstock anymore. But this really sucks. Surely there's been some discussion on the SS forum about it?
I remember a story, about 2-3 years old, when several months ss didn't delete portfolio which was created on base of stolen images, mostly travel, and they were just cropped, no other changes. Sure, i can extrapolate all conclusions given here to that story. Companies born, grow, and getting old and useless for contributors. The new ones will come. The first ones can keep the crap. Heavy to move clients will move when finances tell to do that.

Yes, I've noticed the same thing. One or two ELs or decent SODs then suddenly everything else dries up for a day or two. Then, things get back to normal. The drop after the additional income from ELs etc is noticeable.
Same here, had a really good month, lots of sales daily, and then EL sale (first sale that day - in the morning) and then no more sales that day. It's too weird.
Not weird. Just a reality

Not dying, but interface is really a pain. Change from editorial to commercial and "sell the rights" is checked in by default. I don't want this, and i have to spend time to search for these accidents p.s. just checked - this checkbox is always checked by default. Before i didn't need to verify this, it was always unchecked. They go by FT way, i see. Very bad

I use Photodeck and i am happy with them. Tried customizations, but then returned to combination of defaults, just because i am very limited with time for support. Clients are always pleased with performance, it is very quick platform, very good quality of presentation, easy maintenance of customized site.
