Just in case any of you are thinking about buying this camera but are worried about the quality, here's a 100% crop with the Xsi. I don't know if the quality is as good as the 40D, but it's not too bad. And the picture is of some miniature pizzas.

Meh, everything is out of stock. Maybe Shutterstock or some other agency already clamped down on this site or something.

Me three. Rumor has it that most of Shutterstock's subscribers are switching to iStockphoto on May 26th. Hopefully, you'll notice a big bump in iStockphoto income on the 26th.

I've read that some people say think that the new Canon Xsi is more like a mid level dslr. What do you guys think?

Shutterstock: Down 60% for the past three weeks.
Stockxpert: Up 60% for the past three weeks.
iStockphoto: Normal.
Dreamstime: Normal.
Bigstockphoto: Normal.
So far it's balancing out.

Some people are saying that the Xsi will produce more noise since the megapixels were increased, but the sensor size was not. What do you guys think?

If and when I buy this camera, will my Rebel XT lenses still work in it?
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM
Thanks in advance.

Don't know if it is just me, but I don't have the regular amount of DLs since IS announced the subscriptions. Have the designers stopped downloading until the sub sales start?
It's not just you. My downloads have been fairly slow at IS and Shutterstock for the past few days. Stockxpert has been unusually high for me though, so it's balanced out a bit.

Yes, you're correct. Congratulations.

I don't think they'll dominate the market, but they will be one of the first sites that many people will think of when they hear the word microstock. As for me, this month my earnings actually went down a bit on iStockphoto(I'm blaming Easter). But Bigstockphoto made up for it.

Why is it that I never get any extended license sales? I've only had one so far on iStockphoto. Is it a numbers thing or just the type of photos I'm shooting? Thanks.

Lizard, how many images do you have at Featurepics?

Is it worth it for me to upgrade from the Canon XT to the Canon XTi? I mainly want to do it because of the self cleaning utility that comes with the XTi, and the increased megapixels can't hurt anything. Maybe this will let me have XL images on iStockphoto. What do you guys think? Thanks.

Istockphoto deactivated two of my Canadian coin shots for copyright issues this morning. I thought coins were okay to shoot? Are they going to delete my US coin shots as well? Just curious.

Fotolia's certainly worth the effort - they narrowly missed first place (behind SS) in February for me. I haven't uploaded vectors there - I did upload the JPEGs from them though, which they will accept - because I don't like the pricing.
There's no pricing based on complexity of the vector, so the simplest or the most complex is the same price - I think 7 credits. As an XL photo is 5 credits (that's the largest my 20D can qualify for at 8MP) I don't think the vector pricing works at all.
However, be aware that they recently started withholding payments unless you upload a scan of ID over an unsecure link. If they don't offer some secure option I am (sadly) going to have to close my account there. Make sure you're OK with that before you proceed.
Amended because the link is secure. AES 256 Bit.

Can someone please answer my stupid question... who are vector artists? I always kindof assumed you are skilled graphic designers who have been to college for at least a couple years. Am I right about that, or are there Ordinary Joes out there with a copy of Illustrator (and presumably personal style)?
Could be either. I studied Illustrator in college after I learned Photoshop. Learning the pen tool is one of the more important steps to using Illustrator. After that, it's similar to Photoshop. So I don't think you would have to go to college for it.

Not bad, not great. I've submitted dusty images before, but I wouldn't submit a camera lens that was that dusty. But hey, the image got in. I bet it sells too. Example of my dusty image: http://www.istockphoto.com/file_closeup.php?id=5338538

Dreamstime works for me. However, Stockxpert seems to be down for the moment. Looks like an upgrade.

I haven't uploaded to StockXpert in a while, but I haven't had many problems other than the reviewing problem a couple of months ago. I have noticed that vector illustrations seem to clear faster than photographs. But other than that, it only takes a few days for my photographs to be approved.

I've noticed a green outlined box around some of my published images when I view them in my Featurepics gallery(only when I'm logged in). The images always have a couple of views, so am I correct in assuming that it's some sort of lightbox feature? Thanks.
