Just a question i couldnt find anywhere else answered. For how much time is the 100 images limit? i mean is that 100 images a week, or until they are reviewed, or what? Thank you.
I understand it is a weekly limit. This may be revised in the future.

Wow, you come here to whine about your work not being up to Alamy's lax standards and then take cheap shots at some of the members. Hmmm, I wonder why you're having problems.
Jeez Walnuts...you're more hostile than Alamy. All I'm doing is stirring up the pot a bit in a supposedly open forum. Oh yes, I never said that I'm having problems with QC...I just don't agree with their hostile policies like closing down their forum! Lets keep a perspective on this and realize that they're nothing more than a frigging middle man and are making millions upon millions off the backs of us. You make them out to be God's gift to the stock photographers of the world...get a grip!!! Mag [/quote] If you are not happy with the middle man making millions off your efforts, why not sell your images directly to the customer, you will save a fortune and become a millionaire yourself, probably overnight.

I was always under the impression that photographing plant life on an overcast day was preferred. No?

I don't know, but it's all over the SS forums, with no response from SS. Time for them to get some new advisers, it's no good just sitting on your hands and hoping it will go away. They need to sort out the mess.

Does this mean will will get a raise this year then?
Yeah, if you fill in the forms then they won't keep 30% back.

I've encountered a different problem.
After the end of entering tax info, etc., there was a prompt to change my password. I changed it, and now I can't login. I have also requested that my password be emailed, just in case there was a double typo, but a note pops up saying there is a problem retrieving the data. Is there a problem, or does it just take a while for the password changing process to implement itself?
It was pretty instant when I changed mine.

Yeah, same here. I understand that currently we are unable to edit our keywords, descriptions etc, is there going to be a fix for the 'keyword jumble' ?
To give one example form my portfolio at Veer:
Image Glass of orange juice with two halves of an orange set against white.
Keywords auctions, authority, close-ups, courtrooms, equitable, freedom, gavels, guilt, hammering, honesty, more innocence, isolated, judges, judgment, justice, law enforcement, law reporters, lawyers, mallets, nobody, punishment, real, rules, still lifes, symbols, trials, white background, wisdom, wood
As you can see, it's bonkers.
As delighted as I am to be with Veer, my chances of selling are going to be very slim with tagging like this. I hope this issue can be resolved quickly.

You are talking about taxes here... What is about tax witholding for non-resident aliens on Veer...!?
I am totally confused...
Can somebody explain please or/and give some links here!?
As part of signing up to Veer you have to complete a W8BEN, this is provided for you as an online form during your sign up. Everything is explained when you get there.

I'm sorry to hear that some of you are having difficulties. I have to say I am very impressed with Veer, everything so far has gone silky smooth. No problems with uploading via HTTP on Firefox. There are bound to be a few teething problems, I would expect a lot of server activity today.

Where can I signup for Veer? Just send them a email or what?
I beleive you will be able to apply as a contributor from June 8th via Veer marketplace.

I have no idea. I doubt very much if most agencies even know what they want, why they remain silent about what they want/need I really don't know.
John from Cutcaster informs contributors of buyers needs now and again and I believe DT did/do something similar.
One thing is for certain, I have never received an email from any agency saying they could do with a few more 'xyz' images or such and such category needs filling. On the other hand, knowing what to supply as a contributor is half the business. Having DL stats just encourages copy cats, but that's a different topic.
Even when agencies provide 'DO NOT WANT' lists they still accept stuff on the list, and some of the top reported keywords used in searches (such as flowers) appears on the 'NO THANKS' but buyers are still asking for.
You would think sometimes that agencies and contributors are competitors not partners.

The folks at clipartof.com are at the top of my list for many reasons. They are responsive, knowledgeable, and have a great customer base - plus they know how to sell.
This may be, but I'm still waiting for a reply to an email I sent three days ago.

Thanks Madelaide (you collect one blue heart), I think I'll try them out. Do you have any doubts about their trustworthiness?

Hi madelaide, I have been considering joining this site but have never got around to it. Have you had much success there?

If you enter your SV user name in the search box for Veer Marketplace the search will return all of your images that have been transferred from SV to Veer.
-Don
Thanks for the tip Don. Nothing shows up for me, must have got the wrong email. Thought it was too good to be true. But on the upside you win a blue heart whatsit.

I've sold my design services through elance, probably about seven years ago, very well implemented, however, prices paid tend to be quite low. I don't think there is much scope for photographers, but I would give it a look anyway.

My images have been moved over and are showing up on VM but of course I can't log in yet. http://www.veer.com/products/artistgallery.aspx?artist=13741&pricemodelcode=MP
Congratulations, I'm sure you will do very well there. I can't see any of mine yet, I received the 'marketplace' acceptance email from SV, I'm starting think this may have been an error. I hope not.

Are images showing up at Veer Marketplace for those that have had their Snapvillage portfolios accepted and moved over, or will this not happen until June 8th?

I am a UK citizen living in Singapore. There is no tax treaty between Singapore and US so am I right in thinking that I apply for this from my UK address and using UK passport?
I think it depends on which government you currently pay your taxes to. Paul Cowen posted something similar on the SS forum debate regarding this matter.

Well, this time it took around 24 hours to figure out the person behind the alias. Next time it might take longer.
I for one have always enjoyed your various incarnations and humor no matter how you choose to present yourself.
Definitely a fun game! And well done on perfectly lampooning the grumpy old pros! Things will probably be dull around here until you come back in the next guise
Batty?
