Leo, if my comment was in any way taken as negative or criticism it certainly wasn't meant that way and I offer my apology if it seemed to be. It was just a vote for knowledge in what others were experiencing with bugs. I haven't had time to test all aspects with every upgrade so it's been helpful when others say they are experiencing issues so I know to test that area on my site to see if I need to make adjustments. Like the searches on phrases - it prompted me to go back and re-keyword some of my better selling images that use two-word keywords frequently. Once I have things in order I plan to purchase your current plug ins and look forward to new and wonderful options. I hope to report a landslide of sales upon your return from a well deserved break.

I was able to update using the updater in the WP themes area.

I hadn't noticed that we can't see posted comments. Or perhaps none have been posted yet? It would be helpful to know if others are experiencing the same bugs or may have found solutions that Leo doesn't have to address. I hope the comments will be visible.

You should be able to change your default for all images to "delete" too, so if you miss a message they won't go into the free section.

Hi everyone,
I have a problem to ask who confront this situation.
I still have not receive my earning for june. I have a lot of stockphotographer friends they are received earning since 3 july
Usually money sent to paypal around date 6-8 of month, but many people already got many days ago.....except me
I sent mail to SS support but no any response for now.....Anyone has a problem like me?
please suggest me what I should do after this
Thank you
Which e-mail address did you use? Contributor concerns need to be sent to [email protected], not the Support@ Shutterstock address. If it goes to the wrong address they just ignore it. The Support address is for buyers needing support.

Just take a look at the source code of your page and find which CSS class is pulled to format the text. Then overwrite this CSS class with the parameters you like by putting it into your child theme CSS.
If this doesn't solve the problem then let me know the URL of your site.
Thanks! My site url is www.karensarragaphotography.com. The part I'm struggling with right now is the "Information" title in the text widget on the lower left. I was able to change the font color in the links below but I think the "Information" header is pulling from the color used for the h1, h2, h3 headers as a default. Not sure how to change the individual headers, if that's possible. I wanted it to be darker, or stand out with an underline or something that would separate it from the links.

If you use Firefox just get a plugin like Firebug. You click (right) on some object on a web site and get all the styles that apply including class names etc. It is a BIG help.
Thanks! I do use Firefox and did get Firebug but since I've had absolutely no training on CSS or any other web programming I'm just using logic to figure out changes. The "right click" clue helped - I clicked on the footer copyright info and see where the .muted came from so now I can start searching out other areas I want to change (carefully of course, on the child theme only!)

Leo - I'm pretty concerned about the stability of my site right now - I've had about 2 database errors and the performance is really slow. Are you sure 2.5.2 is stable?
steve
I'm backing out to 2.5.0 so if you try the site, it could be strange...
I upgraded to 2.5.2 and I'm seeing pretty quick response for image loading but I only have about 250 images so that may have an impact.

2.5.2 - Big memory improvement on lengthy processes provided by AJT. Thanks AJT! The bigger portfolio people will love you
Went to upgrade to 2.52 and WordPress gives me an error that the directory already exists.
Delete the parent theme (not the child theme - it will be dormant and reappear once you update to 2.5.2) Upload the new version of the parent theme Reactivate the child theme.

I managed to change the background color of the footer but I can't figure out how to change the text color of the "Information" text and links below (they are in a text widget) and also the grey copyright info in the footer.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to change the font colors here?
If I'm correct the footer info font is defined by the CSS class "muted". Just paste this code into your child theme CSS to change color or other attributes to your liking. This is an example for making the font red.
/*Footer Info Text*/
.muted { color: #FF0000; }
Thank you! That worked on the copyright info but for the life of me I can't track down where you found that as I couldn't find it on the styles.php sheet (I've been searching there for code to copy and change colors) It still doesn't solve the problem of the colors on the widget text in the footer so I'm still searching for that solution.

A mortgage to pay and need to boost retirement savings, along with a bit of instability in my husband's job are the main reasons. Day job is relatively painless and too lucrative to give up right now. But in about 6 years I'll be at a reasonable retirement age and mortgage will be paid off so I may be pulling the trigger and going full time or at least a lot more hours of part time. Of course that will depend a lot on the state of the industry at that time.

Your article looks terrific Dan. Thanks for featuring my site. Now the pressure is on to learn a little bit about programming so I can dress it up a bit. Need to add more images too!

Overall no need to panic...just inconvenience yourself a little and learn WP-Super cache and Bad behavior...you will have to amend their filters a bit so as not to over-ride certain dynamic functions the theme needs.
Is there another post that indicates what we need to amend in the filters so they don't over-ride the theme's dynamic functions?

Wow! That looks terrific and I'm looking forward to seeing it evolve.
If you're open to suggestions my personal preference is to have links to outside sites (for the theme download, plug-ins, child theme, etc.) open in a separate tab so I can easily find my way back to the original source without having to use the "back" button if I end up wandering to far. With all the tips and help center I think it would be beneficial to be able to bounce back and forth between tabs for plug ins and the help pages.

For the Featured Images you need to select the images you want to appear by including them in the Symbiostock Featured Images category (along with any other category tags you're selecting for that image). They display in increments of 6 per row so it's recommended that you pick 6 as featured images, or increments of 6 if you want more rows.
For the Latest Images (maybe both) I think you need to go the Symbiostock Admin area (the tab with the bee) and at the bottom of Settings and also Author Options there is a checkbox to update public image info. Check that and save changes.
I think that might get them to show up, but not 100% sure as it was awhile ago that I activated those options.

About the censorship ratings.
In my opinion, All defaults Should point to unrated.
Images should be unrated until the action to rate them has happened. The site should be wide open until the webmaster takes steps to tighten their content.
4 settings
unrated..... as the name states this should be the default general.... 90% of the images in the world S or N..... Sexy or nude images ( including Art) There are a lot of sexy images which don't have "offensive" body parts and a lot of nude images which have no sexual content Adult...... Images of adults, by adults for adults
If other people don't comment or have an opinion then I will stop
I'd suggest: Unrated General Artistic Nudity Adult Content S or N for sexy or nude images is a bit vague and leaves you looking for a meaning.

Regarding searching in admin, it should be keywords that its searching, when you are in the "ladybug" tab.
When I am searching images in the "ladybug" tab it may be searching keywords but it's also searching definitions. I searched "ice tea" and wondered why I was coming up with a sliced lemon image with no tea in sight. Checked for a keyword error but didn't find one. Then I realized that the description referred to lemons for lemonade or garnishing ice tea. The only reference to the search term was in the description.

I just updated - it seems now that my images show up in a random order rather than by upload date as it was before. This is by keyword search and just browsing categories.
I'm seeing the same random order results. Seems like the rank is over-riding the publish date. I'd like to see a way for them to work together if possible. Manipulating the publish date lets you move seasonal items to the front. ETA, update seems to be performing just fine. I'm getting expected search results and the two images I tested with a #1 rank were promoted to the top spots.

With a night of coding almost complete - here's what we got:
A quality system that orders your images by priority 1, 2, 3. Maybe its a good idea not to call it quality. Call it priority?
"Priority" rating is exactly what came to mind for me instead of "quality" rating. I'd vote for using that term. The content rating would rely on everyone actually using the ratings when uploading so I can see that being a challenge to actually make it work.

I just tried 3 tests registering on my site, sending to 3 different e-mail addresses and all three came through instantly.
1) gmail account, this one has always worked promptly without problems - this test came through instantly
2) optonline.net acct. with their spamscrubber disabled - this test came through instantly as it always has.
3) optonline.net - different account with spamscrubber enabled - this has always been blocked in the past but tonight it came through instantly. never has before. Tomorrow I'll call their CS desk to see what changes may have been made.

I'm sure this is not a spam issue - there is no blocking at all on the emails I use. The intermittent nature means that some process on our websites is not being kicked off when it should
Steve
The new issue where it's affecting everyone, and the long delays, may be a different issue from the blocking issues I've had but my home ISP Cablevision/Optimum (not my site host) confirmed that their internal spam blocker is catching and stopping the e-mails before they get through. They were looking into the reason it was getting trapped but I haven't heard back.

That is SO stupid. Basically you can send an email as long as it looks lame, does not point the user anywhere (like to files) and as far as I know is not very long. Oh, and no images.
Leo, is there anything different in the Symbio link and pic that would trap it in the spam filters? When I delete those but leave my image link and text links it went through ok in my testing. Could you try eliminating your links from the registration letter and download letter for a few days so we could test without it to see the impact. At least we could still function until it is fixed if that turns out to be the cause across the board. That was definitely what caused the problem for me.

If you are having problems with the registration email you will have the same problem with the download email too. I tested with both and could only send to addresses with spam filters if I took out the Symbiostock links
If you have the registration and password email that got through to one email and have another email address that did not receive it try forwarding that email to the blocked account. Once without changes and again after deleting the two Symbiostock links. In My case that's how I discovered the links that were triggering the block in the Optonline.net email systems
