Ok so here is my solution for keeping clipping paths with photo until I can figure something else out for those who are having the same problem.

Take photos in Raw
Import into Lightroom - Make adjustments and Do all MetaData
Save Meta Data
Export to Photoshop for Retouch
Save as jpg and put in your finish file to submit to sites.
Import jpg or tif (if you save a copy as a tif) back into Lightroom for your Library Reference

What you don't want to do if you are having the problem I am having is import jpg into Lightroom and then Export final copy to up load to the Stock sites. You want your jpg that was saved in Photoshop to be your final version for the stock sites. Any jpg imported onto Lightroom after its been through Photoshop will lose its Clipping Path so importing the jpg back into Lightroom would only serve as your way to view your collection in Lightroom.

Note: you do not have to change to sRGB in Photoshop if you prefer AdobeRGB also you're 16 bit photo automatically changes to 8 bit when saving as jpg.

I am in the middle of trying to understand how to save a clipping path and opened a new can of worms for my self which is should I be taking photos in sRBG or AdobeRGB. As of right now I am taking my photos in Adobe RGB and editing them in Photoshop with AdobeRGB and Exporting them from Lightroom as AdobeRGB.

Do the Stock Sites change your submissions from AdobeRGB to sRGB. Also should my images be at 16 bit or 8 bit because currently I am submitting 16 bit.

April was my best month so far but my SOD, ED, have been non Existent and ODs cut in half in May. Could it be that Dollarphotoclub is having an impact?

I just found to that there are now 947 domain endings besides .com a bunch just opened up like .photos and .photography unfortunately stock.photos was already taken but I did land dollarphoto.club

I wonder why Fotolia did not buy that up?

Well I have a Domain set up specifically for this with its own hosting so I don't need a subdirectory correct? It would all go into the main directory? I am using Godaddy.com

Where do you go on symbiostock to get what you need to set it up on your own hosting? Do you sign up as a member first and then its made available to you? I just did not see that option checking out the site!

I have my own Domain and Hosting and want to know if I can put Symbiostock on the hosting plan and domain I already have or do I have to create a new website and domain through symbiostock.com and have it hosted with them instead?

If I can put it on my web hosting and existing domain how do I do that? When I go to symbiostock.com it wants you to find a domain and create a site.

My Numbers are Down for the first part of May, I'm not certain if Holidays in Europe are the cause as I can't compare numbers to last May. Can anyone else?

I was accepted to 123rf and upload tons of pictures and they are marked as accepted yet I don't see them in my portfolio, does anyone know if their is some sort of transition time from having them accepted to having them viewable in your portfolio and ready for sale?

Ok so I took the plunge and gave them my email which is what I was trying to avoid and found at that joining with an email did not go any farther than that, just an offer to download their latest photos for free. I found out their whole plan is to send people their photos via email. That they are a small stock company. What I can not figure out is how they make money, so they must be actively making money in stock photos on stock sites and this is their side project and somehow someday they will start charging money once they are in high demand.

 As a graphic designer you can't wait for the photo you need to someday show up in your email nor would you get a photo in the email and then decide to build your business around it. So in that respect I think they have missed the boat. I am guessing that they expect those who subscribe to the email to save all the photos and build their library on their own computers and that way perhaps they can use the email to get people to buy photos or something, I will have to let you know when I get my first email.

There are some ideas that I would like to create but they are not possible to photograph because they do not exist so I am considering outsourcing them overseas to 3D rendering artists.

Also, I have looked into learning 3D modeling -- no thanks

For the right price, it might provide a good ROI.

Anyone else consider this?

If it was me, I would sketch it, Scan it, Then Paint it in Photoshop and Submit it as a Graphic!

Here is a quick tip for exponentially increasing your follower numbers on twitter. Send a couple of tweets along the lines of:

"I'm not sure how to use social media to market my business" or "I need help to organize my work and personal life"

Within days you will have every self-appointed social media marketing and self-improvement guru on the planet following you and touting their e-books, seminars, blogs, webinars and whatnot....And you will have an audience of over 2,000 and their associates to flog your stuff to.

So I don't use Twitter but might do so soon, my question is when you send a tweet who sees it? Only your friends or can you have it so everyone sees it and once those 2,000 people follow you they will see all your Tweets? If so that seems like it could be a great tool for self promotion and research!

Just being on social media isnt enough, you need to work it, just like any other form of advertising.

Having run Various Businesses I agree, I looked at your website its pretty rockin! Is that a monthly price to host with them beyond the basics or a one time fee and you put the open source code on your own site you are hosted with? Have you had a good amount of sales from your own site?
