Most of my sales are from the US of A, and the 4th of July is Independence Day. Wouldn't surprise me if a lot of people take a long weekend, so they can celebrate Abraham Lincoln's rousing speech, back in 1492...
1492, huh?

So, I'm looking at Canva and they want a link to my portfolio to apply. I'm not sure what to put there. Any help?

I don't do an overabundance of family sessions, but I've got a few under my belt - just had one this morning, in fact.
My rate varies and depends upon the number of subjects. The way I see it, the more different subjects, the more photos you have to take to get one that works - or worse, editing a face from one photo onto another. I specify no destination charges for locations within a certain distance from me.
I had a shoot in December that was 9 adults - 2 locations, both about 45 minutes away from me. I quoted them $400, and they didn't quibble at all. I could have charged more, I'm sure.
I used to have a base price then prices for prints, including package pricing, etc. I didn't sell that many prints, so now I just give them a (higher) price for the session, telling them they will get the photographer's pick of a minimum number of images (varies by the number of subjects) and they can ask me about prints, or they can print wherever they wish. The price includes the session, basic editing, and the on-line, downloadable gallery.
I will usually do one or two of the finished files with extra effects so they can see what some of their options may look like, but I don't advertise that part. If I get motivated, I throw them in.

1)Using web uploader (not FTP) and no meta data attached to images. Will it show up later or will I have to re-upload?
2)1099 from Bigstock showed Shutterstock as payee.

I haven't even had a medium sized sale since January, so congratulations - this means they do still exist!

I believe these are FB downloads and FB appears to hold off on updating their info to SS (or some such thing as that). I don't know if they just report in once a month or what, but the multiple SOD's at regular sub price have been identified on ss forums as those FB downloads.

Where do you see which images sold? I know where to find how many, but can't figure out how to see what is selling.

I got the email - I've never once received a card, though. Had no idea they existed!

Guess I'll be spending my time today on other sites.

I have received my first payout from Fotolia and my rank changed. I saw something in another thread that I have to go into my files and change my prices? How does that work?
I obviously have not read through all the fine print, but I am happy to see daily activity there as I slowly build my port. If there is a step I'm missing about increasing my sales amount, please let me know.
Thank you!

It's a correction for those facebook SOD's earlier in the month when we got less than the sub commission.

Has Istock changed where to see what is being sold? My sales total is going up, but I can't find any information on downloads.

I started uploading this year and my gallery is SSSSSSSSLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWLY growing. I have sales, but I'm not sure how to interpret them.
What's the difference between sales in credits and sales with subscription? What happens when you convert credits? What is the payout level (sorry if I'm being lazy)? And why has one specific image been almost the only one that is selling for almost a month now? What effect does your weekly position have? Do photos have a weekly position or is that only applied to your portfolio in general?
I'm sure I'll have more questions as I go along, but I am moderately pleased with the results I'm getting there and am trying to determine if I should direct more of my efforts here.
Main thing is with all this differentiation between commissions and credits, I don't even know if my total credits amount is my income balance.

So, this could explain why I'm showing royalties, but no downloads - these are delayed royalties?

My FT port is less than 400 and my overall rating which started at 60,000 two years ago has now reached 28,000. My weekly rating moves between 10,000 and 20,000. What I find surprising is that to move from 20,000 to 10,000, I require only about 4-5 sales in that week (and most of the time, it does not happen)
Pretty new to FT, so I thought I would see how I'm doing. A few sales here and there. SSSSSLLLLLOOOOOWWWWLLLLYYYYY building my port. Yes, I know it's important to build, but I work full time and don't want to take too much time away from the site/s that do the best for me, so I have pretty limited time. But based on your rating, I guess being at a weekly rating of 14,650 with just over 100 images isn't too bad? My overall is 52,000. I have no earthly idea what the rating system is all about and how it affects sales, but it's nice to be able to find something to compare it to.

Got it. Thanks. Yes, some of them are my last upload, but others are dated back to August and are, in fact, in my gallery. Perhaps they are pending because I duplicated them?

When I look at my stats in deep meta, it says I have something like 13 images that are pending. But I can't figure out how to get to those images so that I can see which images they are? I assume pending means they are waiting on review, but I'm not sure. I upload to several sites and I'd like to know which images these are so I don't repeat the same images.
Any input?
