I followed the discussion on the official forum. Most likely this change is also due to the responses received as a result of the survey sent in recent days. In our office we have received about 10 surveys in 10 different workstations throughout the day on Thursday and Friday.
To see what searches are now showing many cheap files, although this may seem like a boon for the customers ... at the same time means that on istock is it possible to find the same files that can be found on many other agencies (but at a price higher). We choose how often the istock's image database because we can often find quality images that can be found elsewhere only in RM.
Lately, the quality is very poor in istock. Uniqueness and authenticity very often is a prerogative for many agencies. Just my two cents.

I seem to be broadly on a par with Jan 2013 myself - DLs a little down, but RPD is up (highest ever in fact) so it's balancing out so far, and that's at a lower royalty rate than I should be getting.
maybe it's due the fact there is no XS size on istock ? gone today to use my last credit on istock and the cheapest images is only for 2 credits

anyone have noticed the increase of the price of Signature and Vetta collections ?
regarding the drop of targets, i think it is only a glitch on the displaying and not in the calculation

also the move to remove the XS size from the signature + collection must be a choice to help exclusive to reach their canister target....from my perspective as customer there is a lot of difference to buy an image from 10 or 20 credits.

from fotolia's newsletter :
Dear Authors, in order to give a further possibility of selling the images that have not been sold for a long time, we decided to make some changes to our conditions of sale. If a photo has not been sold for 6 months, the price will be adjusted to this pricing scheme: - XS & S = 1 Cr - M & L = 2 Credits - XL, XXL & V = 3 Credits

As a web designer (who buy on IS) and contributor on IS i believe this move is great to give back in this "shop" many low budget bloggers.
But at the same time have made impossible for many to remain exclusive.
The price difference from main collection and signature+ files ( where exclusives have their better files ) is too huge (10 X ) and the new price slider is too much in evidence with the $$ symbol. Customers are not fools....and everyone of us when have a large choice where to buy uses very often the cheaper point of the slider. Usually buying even the largest size (being now very cheap ).
So for exclusive will come an unsustainable state of things....and customers will buy more and more cheap files causing the rise on the best match on no-exclusive content. You can image the future.

as you can read here http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/istockphoto-announces-exclusive-deal-with-worlds-top-selling-stock-photographer----and-lowers-pricing-on-half-its-library-215622511.html there are few news . New Unique Content: The Arcurs Collection - Only at iStockphotoi Stockphoto is now the only site where the Arcurs Collection of photo, video, audio and vector elements can be found. Thousands of files are available today at http://istockphoto.com/yuri with more than 85,000 available by the fall of this year. Arcurs and his team of photographers create thousands of eye-catching images that are used by creative professionals globally. The Arcurs Collection builds on iStockphoto's growing library of millions of hand-picked, curated and edited photos, illustrations, vectors and videos, as well as audio from Getty Images, a global leader in digital content. if i remember well istock have not the total exclusivity of yuri's works. http://www.dreamstime.com/stock-images-business-people-hands-overlapping-to-show-teamwork-image6524574 http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-8506606-human-hands-showing-unity.phpwhat ?? As a designer who buy on istockphoto i don't want to pay more for a picture that someone told me that's on exclusivity on one website and i found the same on others website for less.

A bug? He doesn't have any exclusive images, and there's still 32K on Dreamstime, for example. He does have 2830 exclusive audio files, though.
If so, that would ceeeeertainly explain the lifting of upload limits.
Sorry Sean , but is not the same with Quavondo that is still exclusive in istock and a contributor in Stocksy There's a special deal for everyone ....these days

Was Sean's name on the previously public facebook list of Stocksy members? There is no Stocksy member list. There is a Facebook group of people interested in Stocksy. There were more than 100 people on that list but almost none of them have actually been involved in Stocksy in any ways. It can't be a reason for someone to be in a Facebook list to terminate his account.
Hey Michael. Read his blog post again, it sounds like he was helping them beta test their system.
Do you really believe that there are no istock's admins involved in stocksy ? how can istock know something without any spies there be smart...if stocksy was been the really cause of sean's termination many people will be cutted in a near future.
