off topic, but couldn't resist....

WOW!! This looks very similar to the first page on Thinkstock when I search for "Modern Livingrooms" J/K cclapper... only using your pix for a dig at TS ... I enjoy your work and your input & comments here. =tom

LOL okay, so I'm regular... in fact, I take that as a compliment in my daily life... "he's a regular kinda guy"No prob, I'm sure that if they bring me onboard... I'll still sell something there before I do at Thinkstock... LOL Peter, I'm sitting quiet and being a good boy ..... =tom

Haven't sold a thing. Sure isn't like old StockXpert. Was sure to have daily sales there... but... not good old TS. btw... I just got migrated there in the last couple weeks... however, none of my IS stuff is there (and frankly, of all the images I had on StockXpert, most of these even I WOULDN'T have moved over there). My better images and better sellers, didn't come over. Maybe because they were also on IS??? Any of you others that just got migrated... is your IS stuff showing? =tom

I'm willing to give them a chance... if they give me one... I don't see why they wouldn't pick up those of us that sold well with them under the old banner... as Helix7 said, 'they are proven'... and many of us have 'proven' ourselves with them. I'm looking forward to working with them... ha ha ha... if picked... LOL =tom

Hello Everyone,
I'd just like to drop by to say a couple of things. First of all we are thrilled that so many of you are excited about Stockfresh. We're just getting started and it takes time to launch a site properly so please bear with us while we iron out things. As soon as we can start doing some marketing, we will also start letting more contributors in. We are not going to let you miss out on anything, don't worry! If you have any questions, you can reach me directly through the contact form on the site and I'll be happy to answer them!
Best regards, Peter / Stockfresh
Peter... Know you're busy... but next time you check in... could you give us an idea (ball park , not to be etched in stone)... rough idea how long it will take to consider new contributors (of which many of us are old StockXpert friends). ... thanks much... =tom

I wish them the best, but have to agree my enthusiasm is waning as each day passes with no response to my application.
Lis.... I don't know if you mentioned it earlier... but how long ago did you apply, just so I have an idea when to stop checking my email like a kid looking for candy.. LOL =tom

I decided long ago to avoid joining new sites, since I am already part of too many low to no earners.
As an exception, I was going to give this site a try just because I trusted the founders, but if they are making thinks difficult and asking to wait for very long time... I am afraid this site is losing its "freshness" for me, sorry.
Same thinking here.. I dumped a half dozen or so sites for slow sales... Really only active on DT, BigStock, SS, IS (but still with Alamy, FT, FP, ). But because I had moderate success with StockXpert, I don't have a problem giving the guys a try. Question is if they want me... LOL... I applied. Funny thing, I was going to give Veer a try until I read an active thread on Veer today. Other than that, I am very leery about newbie sites. And even new sites that throw a good pitch. I was very psyched about Lucky Oliver, and put a lot of time and effort into them... only to see LO go down the porcelain receptacle. And a lot of peoples money with them. I was fortunate enough to hit cash out in their last week. Yeah, I'm gun shy =tom

wow.... just last night I was looking at their site.... I thought, humm... doesn't look too bad. Maybe I'll upload the port, I'm looking for fresh meat... Tomorrow afternoon, I'll go surf MSG and see what kind of comments there are about Veer. And low and behold, one of the first things up for reading is this thread. I take it that the majority would not recommend Veer? Still on the fence, straighten me out folks. Should I or shouldn't I? =tom

Got on as a buyer in a matter of minutes... didn't want that. I don't buy. I reapplied as a seller. Had to upload 5 shots and give 5 (?) website references... I don't expect to hear anything soon. =tom

Just read your note and ran over to look... WOW... they've moved over 19of my images!!!!!!!! Well that's 19 more than were there the day before.. hopefully more will be coming. Funny, my highest sellers from StockXpert are not among them. I've waited how many months, guess I can wait a while longer =tom p.s... i miss StockXpert too

funny.... the utility company, the mortgage company, the car dealer, the doctor, the phone company, the cable tv company,.... seems like all of the people I have to pay every month... want..... cash. I offered the bank a couple nice plates of my wife's oatmeal cookies in lieu of the mortgage payment last month.... .. and they gave me a strange look. LOL =tom work for credit? .... then again, .....ah, maybe if I was being paid in beer and hot wings... ...nah, I guess that wouldn't work....

that question will vary based on everyones current income level. somebody working at McDonalds or going to school and only working part-time will say hell yeah !!!! others would look at $200 a day as an insult .. some just wouldn't care either way. a lot of lifestyle comes into play too .. how high-maintenance are you? $200 a day might not cut it.
depends who you are "working at McDonald's"... ha ha ha ha... I passed $200 a day many many moons (years) ago, working at McDonald's. So I assume you meant... the average crew employee... LOL Living in central NJ USA... I couldn't live on that. I'd lose the house in a matter of months.. taxes, insurance, utilities.. are outrageous around here. Prime reason my entire family is looking to move out of the area.. so that maybe I could live on an income from Microstock. The only thing that would stop me when I move... is health insurance... I'm 61 and have to go to 66 to get any kind of decent bennies. Beyond that... I agree with Sharply Done and a few others. I love photography and think it is a hoot that I can make money hiking the wilderness with my wife... taking pictures. Wife & I and couple of my adult children are trying to build the business up to a point where it could support a couple of us in retirement.. I do 5 days a week at Mickey D's.... it sux... I live for the weekends, going camping, off roading, hiking...whatever... just out there with Mom Nature & taking pix. =tom

Такое не забывается, Ich bin sicher. Sei d'accordo? (sorry, my Morse is too rusty )
если вы не используете его, вы его потеряете !!!! Can't say that I agree completely...as most is forgotten... working 36 years as a training manager for McDonald's Corp, I haven't had a lot of opportunity to use my Russian, German or Italian... ha ha ha... although I do use my Spanish alot... ha ha ha. Honestly, I have forgotten so much, it's sad. Languages I was required to learn like my prime language, I still retain to a great degree. This is because I learned it as an extension of my English vocabulary so that you 'thought' in the language rather than translated it as you went. Russian I was required to speak with zero American accent. I had to have a Moscovite accent pure and true. I have to say, they still do come in handy in the movie theater when I have to translate stuff with no subtitles for my family..ha ha ha ha. Uncle Gene, you wouldn't by any chance be an old military linguist, would you? (Or more likely an average European that can speak a dozen languages easily...LOL) =dah, dah dah dah, dah dah ( dash dash-dash-dash dash-dash)

which way is the wind blowing....? as was said, and I agree 101%... one day this one is great and that one sux and the next day it's the opposite....which way is the wind blowing? there is no ryhme or reason... on rejections, I have said it a gazillion times. IF ( and that is important), IF the shot really has no tech problems and it is a good shot, and the rejection was a moronic one (not stock material, not focused where we think it should be, too many now no thanks, etc)...... I just wait a few weeks, submit it again, it is accepted and starts to sell and everyone is happy. Sux you have to waste your time.. but, that's the nature of this biz. =tom p.s. i feel your pain on the keyword rejection... we have all suffered that one. I had a picture of the mountain Half Dome in Yosemite Natn'l Park... it was rejected because the words half dome were not relevant.

HI and thanks to the polite people who replied.
-monica--- PS.: english is my second language
Your English is just fine, monica ! I am a firm believer in the concept that 'there is no such thing as a stupid question'. You just keep asking, for the most part the folks here on MSG are friendly and helpful. =tom p.s. In the military I was a linguist. Spoke fluent Russian, Italian, Spanish, International Morse code and had a working knowledge (common conversation) of Greek, German, Hindi & American Sign Language. Today, I wouldn't dream of trying to hold a conversation on any other language site. Good for you!!

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.... sorry bro, not laughing AT you...laughing at the situation... one of my complaints for years about 123... and one of the reasons I finally bailed out. 123rf was most assuredly NOT worth my effort. Here's wishing you success in knowing what you actually did sell and what they actually should be paying you. =tom

So, how are things looking for you Thinkstock contributors? Just curious.
Since you asked, my dear cclapper.... THEY DON'T EXIST!! I WAS opted in on StockXpert and IS from the start and enjoyed fair sales at StockXpert thru StockXpert, photo & JIU.... regular checks blah blah blah.... and as of today, my stuff is STILL not migrated to TS. Blows my mind that all my friends here who DIDN'T opt in for subs.... didn't WANT TO BE opted in for subs... in fact, OPTED OUT for subs... seem to be there on TS... while all of us that were opted in from the start at both IS and StockXpert... ( kind of like, ' hey, we cooperated with you and sub'ed in, while others staunchly refused, we said okay...' like good little loyal robots ) yet we still sit idle WITH NO MONEY COMING IN. HONESTLY, I'M TICKED!! Maybe I'm over reacting.... NOT! Fact is, seems impossible to get a response from anyone as to when we will get there... some one above said they were told... 'sometime into the summer'. Frankly, ya gotta wonder. Those that don't want to be there, are... making money.. and those of us that want to be there, aren't... and not making a dime. WTH? Pretzel logic at it's finest. Perhaps my stuff just sux that bad? And they don't want it? Not likely, as I'm still getting regular checks from IS. =tom
