actually depending upon how it is done and if it is a company or an individual, and deeper still the type of company, yes it is a way to dump all your debt. and without a care in the world.
LO could be an LLC or an Inc.
Chances are Bryan has it set up so that his company can get sued but he cant.....
Glad i cashed out many moons ago....
#27
well that dont make sense, they worked before for images. and to think she wanted to do a nice thing and spread her tokens in hopes of helping others get a pay out
#28
Hey, is anyone able to use their credits to buy pictures at LO?
My girlfriend tried to use some of hers this morning and it is telling her she doesnt have enough credits, although she has almost 300 of them......
#29
I have mine ranging from 5-50....
Made a sale on a 25 a couple of days ago and that gave me 7.50
I pretty much base the price on how much I like the image....

90's?
hmmm.....
even if they did, which they don't, most look like long lasting stock to me, that isn't the point of the post.
A photoshop pro was offering you help. If you don't want the help move along instead of trying to pass judgement and insult.

sales are going well for us and I only use safari and have no problems......

I opted out for my own reasons.
Sales suck at StockXpert and they reject 2/3 of what I send them.
Usually for lame reasons for the rejections. I don't even bother checking there to see what got accepted or why they rejected this or that.
Most rejections seem to be for "we dont need this type of image" or something similar, yet the ones that actually sell on the site are the exact same type that they don't need.

As far as both Yuri and Lev go...
Guys, you both are too good to be doing stock! You both have distinct styles and personalities that the commercial world would totally embrace.
If I were to offer advice, I would suggest that both of you start focusing on the big clients directly, if you haven't already.
You have both inspired and spawned many imitators, but you two are both the best at what you do.

Spread your wings my friends! Go get 2 grand for a magazine cover instead of 20 bucks!
Get the real clients giving you real money to do the shoots you are best at! Seek out the clients that will fly you any where in the world because they believe in your vision. The real advertising and publishing world that pays real money for Artists such as yourselves!

Let microstock and stock in general be a hobby or something to do when you retire.

In my opinion, Yuri and Lev, you are too good, you have outgrown microstock and neither of you will truly make what you are worth as Artists if all your energy goes to this niche of the photography world!

There is no such thing as a stupid question.....
Incomplete questions yes, but not stupid ones

Study composition a bit and you will be able to answer your own question..... have fun!

Leaf.... that all depends on what I would have to do to keep the camera, otherwise, I would much rather use my own favorite toys.....without having to be beholden is a great thing.

If you post a couple, maybe others will have some ideas also.

It all depends on the image, no?

Dan, have you tried a light coming straight down from the top as well?
I usually bounce a flash from the ceiling and have slave flashes  on the sides. The top light seems to help even it out.

gee...no money...no reviews...
maybe the reviewers took off when the money stopped flowing....

i currently have about 130 pictures pending since late november til now......( I bet most will be rejected, but still...)

and one would think things were going swell with that 10 grand sale recently....

oh well
I like stockxpert but they seem to be ending the year with a whimper......

... and all of us shooting for the micro stock agencies have in effect taken away a great deal of work from those that used to get the good commercial gigs....

Letting someone buy a shot for a quarter where it used to cost him two grand?

Yes we are to blame, yes we are giving it away.
There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it.
"Ohhhhhhh, my picture made it to the front  cover of a magazine and I go 20 bucks!"
Geez!

Having been a successful photographer for over a decade, I knew what would happen if microstock caught on.

It did.

And look around, we live in a world where "good enough" is indeed good enough. the image the art director finds on the micro stock site may not be exactly what they wanted but it is "good enough".

Microstock has changed everything but there will always be a need for the true commercial photographer, the one with the skills and knowledge that most micro stock contributers couldn't even fathom.

The amateurs have indeed won.

"ORIGIN late 18th cent.: from French, from Italian amatore, from Latin amator 'lover,' from amare 'to love.' "

I am an amateur and always will be for I do love what I do.
