What I have done in January on SS I make in a typical day on AS... That's how bad the SS got.

SS is almost dead! I haven't had a sale for several days. There is no point in making comparisons between AS and SS... At least in my case there is a huuuge difference.

The only other agency that even accepts AI content where I submit to is Dreamstime and hardly any images sell there anyways, AI or not.
I have the same experience...

Getty does not write such figures. How much money will be depends on the sales that will happen in the future. But Adobe is not going to pay authors anything from sales at all. Adobe will pay $0.
If generative content is the future, it is better to remove the portfolio from Adobe and not upload anything to Adobe. Getty offers better and fairer payment terms.
Ok.. 0.02$.. But we cannot know how much we will receive. And if we get $0.02 now... something tells me the amount for using our pictures for AI will be less than $0.02. Maybe I'm wrong, but either way, I've lost interest in sending pictures to such agencies...

Unlike Adobe, Getty will pay authors for life for sales of generated content.
With 0.000000000000001$.....

I don't know, I'm probably wrong, time will tell.. But I don't know why I feel Shutterstock doesn't have long to live. I wouldn't mind that very much at first. The fact that about 90% of my sales are $0.10 would make me glad to at least not see them anymore. Plus Adobe now brings in substantially more revenue than SS. At this point, if I worked with another agency that brought me the same revenue as Adobe, I'd leave the others without a second thought. On the other hand, if the rest of the agencies "die" Adobe will have no choice but to start with those $0.10 or even less (like iStock for example). We'll see.

Yep, same for me!

For me even the sales on SS have stopped for a few days... I have never had anything like this happen before. Augus in general is a slow sales month but it seemed like it wasn't quite like this. The only place I can see sales is Adobe... For now at least...

Mat, that's really nice of you to get in touch with us on behalf of Adobe.
Very important:
But when will Adobe find a solution for the ridiculously long and annoying review times for non AI images?
I also asked them about this problem but it seems they don't even want to answer with a classic email like " we are sorry but..."...

It doesn't even matter. After all, most sales are still $0.10 (at least on the photo side).

Hi,
It also took me a while to close my account with them. I had to insist with some emails but finally they closed my account... I recommend that you insist on sending them more emails.
Good luck!

I found the same pictures from different authors. It was clear that we were talking about stolen photos. I have notified the Copyright department several times and finally received the following reply: "Hi
If you have images created by yourself that have been illegally published on our site, please let us know.
We can not undertake an investigation if it does not come from the images owner.
Regards"So it is quite clear that they don't care and even if they know that there are stolen images on their website it is no problem for them.

For the last three or four years I have been seeing all sorts of ways for companies to pay us less and less. Now Adobe has found this " door ". I'm not a very good photographer but over time I've improved the quality of my photos. Not to mention all the money I've invested in equipment. But I did it primarily for pleasure, money always came second. But honestly, in the last few years it actually made me give up the hobby. I'm sick of all the lies and the ways of these "big famous companies" to keep diminishing our income. It's like the world has gone crazy, really. I hear there are companies like BMW that sell you the car and then charge you a subscription if you want seat heating. A few weeks ago I couldn't scan a document at home with the HP multifunctional I have until I signed up for an account with them... I also read a news that Microsoft wants to make Windows 12 available on the Cloud and you have to pay a subscription if you want to have their operating system... Really??? I come from a former communist country and we all thought the West was much fairer than what was on the other side of the iron curtain. As time goes by this difference is diminishing. No wonder more and more extremist parties are popping up. Just my opinion.. Good luck to all!

Thank you for this thread I found randomly.
Found 1.5k of my images stolen
https://www.freepik.com/author/alleca
2.1k downloads on premium. IM guessing this person has made lots of money off me. Emailed support but will they actually do anything?
Chris
Hi, You need to be more insistent. In the end, in my case, they blocked that user. I also wrote to them on Facebook and left a negative review on Google Maps. Use this email address: [email protected]

I also found one that has a lot of my photos:
https://www.freepik.com/author/solidstocks

After a few more emails sent to them.... Hi
The author has been blocked and his content removed from our site. Please allow 24 hours for the images to disappear from our site.
Regards

Going thru "normal" channels will only get you to another contributor who is representing Shutterstock. I don't think Shutterstock has any contributor relation personnel on staff anymore.
These contributor liaisons will most likely give you a worthless canned response to any problem or inquiry.
At least, that was my experience when I tried in the past.
I also had the same sad experience...

my question is:
b) curious also - how are you finding your assets/finding out the ones they've taken?
thanks!
I have some specific images and so they are easy to find. A simple search immediately brings them to my attention.

Hi, I wrote a review on google maps. They even replied to me saying that they "just answered my emails". I edited that yes, they did reply but they didn't solve my problem. Today I saw a $10 payment in my account - "ASCRL Summer Distribution - DEC 2022".... Very interesting....

The Alamy team opted out for me in September for Novel use, and China + Russian distribution. As I can see today i still have sales for 0.01$ to China. It's an insult to all contributors and to the world of photography. I've just sent an email today to ask for explanations. If nothing is done Im going to close my account of this joking site.
I will definitely do the same. I'm tired of sending them emails and getting nothing but false promises.
