But I can't take a good photo to save my life on my Galaxy Note. Yeah... I could prop my elbows on something solid etc. but the darn thing is so light it moves every time I press the trigger push the screen.
It has IS. Do You use it? But for videos is IS useless. "Shakin` Stevens" ...

Brand new Samsung Galaxy NOTE 3 with 13 mio pixel. Day and night compared with "normal" lens cameras. With normal I mean that lens diameter is bigger than smartphones 1,5 or 2 mm. This smartphone lenses are simply too small.

My Canon kit lens 18-135mm is sharper than 24-105mm L lens for me.
Your 24-105 is ready for calibration.

Its funny, these were just accepted on SS with using selective focus in the rule of thirds, and I used direct light to create some sort of depth in the bokeh with shadows

Nice and simple photos. Btw, on Your first photo is light from right, not direct. Small change in light angle and VOILA, SS reviewing program accept it.

And don't even think about shallow DOF or selective focus.
Not true!

Oct and Nov I had roughly the same number of downloads in PP, but revenue dropped 50% in Nov. I'm a fairly new to stock and the lack of transparency continues to blow me away.
Welcome in the club...

Do not worry, your FUJI is good enough for stock photo! For first submission on Shutterstock avoid macro shoots - here You have problems with focusing. Better shoot something without zooming, on lower possible ISO and all will be OK! If images will be rejected, try again and again - one editor will reject, but another will accept the same photo! You do not need buy camera and equipment for thousands $ and shoot photos for sale $ 0.25! One third of my PF was shoot by 7.1 MP Canon A550 and these images have regular sales today. DSLR has too shallow DOF.
No comment, specialy for last sentence. Just HO HO HO... Happy New year, grandpa.

If you get the exposure right and don't overprocess you should very rarely need noise reduction. When you do need it, PS is fine, especially using it in Camera Raw.
We regularly shoot at 800-1600 ISO without needing NR.
Regularly at 800-1600 ISO ?? For stock? Can You let us know which camera do You have?

No, no, no, it is only one explanation with scientific approach: it is SPAGHETTI SCOOPER. It is not suitable for cats, because nowadays cats have very very fluidy poop. You see, this is science.

No worries, I got it cheap. It does the trick for me when I dont need to use the correction tools. I found the software crashes my laptop (BSOD) on exporting a 60 second clip with corrections done.
But for flipping, stripping audio, trimming and converting its fine.
EXACTLY ! For conversion to Photo JPEG is MPEG STREAMCLIP the best. And for size trim and brightness, contrast,... adjustments as well. Simple is the best.

Something strange is happening with DT
Again well known situation:
It is impossible that I have had NO sales almost 10 days. Before, every day one or two sales. Now, when I am just few cents under 100 $ payout NOTHING. And I am not the only one on DT with this "100 $ problem".

Not down BUT again just before 100 $ payout: STOP DL`s. Zero, nada, null downloads for days. Strange isn`t it?

Duncan, you as Canstock owner, do you know, that many files are in approval queue more than 10 days? Your advertising about one or two days review time is a big lie. Model release checking is not excuse because we have photos without MR or PR in queue for more than 10 days. Check your Canstock discussion forum and reply us, please.

I really need help Thank you in advance
