i wrote word woman in fotolia search 12800 images with filter one week, it was sorted by relevance, first five pages are only four big contributors ( vg studio, break media,.....)
heavy mass productions ( they have big production costs), i wonder how they look on dollar photo club.
Anyone know some manager of this contributors? they should stop uploading.
i dont know how we will survive.

it is true, nobody say we need to protest, make petetiton, stop uploading everbody, we are working for 2-7$/hour, 7$ per hour cost cleaner in Ukraine.

Thats the one and excellent reading:)
It just broke things down nicely and made me see the bigger picture. About 5 years ago I joined iStock, uploaded maybe 20 images. I gave up cos I only made $17 in about a year. One of the worst decision I ever made photographically speaking. $17 obviously doesnt pay the mortgage but year on year for the same effort (initial uplaod) this would have been way more. Upload many more images and you get it. The beauty of stock is that its uploaded once and that it. It can earn till you die technically. You only need one $28 sale for shooting and editing that image to be worthwhile long term. All about quality AND quantity!
So any tips on how to get those big money sales? I cant see any way of improving that. I sell loads of smaller images with occasional $28 and $80 sale on Shutterstock. I sold 6 of these in Nov and none last month. All over the place. I did have a $242 image sold of Chicago on Alamy which gave me a warm fuzzy feeling in March. Just takes ages to pay out on Alamy. Over 6 months im finding.
You have very nice images, good quality, but with this portfolio i dont believe you earn every month 400-600$ sorry. maybe in march, was very good month. i dont upload to Fine Art America, hard to believe that in november you earn 1000$.

I think, they produce about 8000 to 10000 images per week.
Im curious how many photographers, designers, uploaders are involved.
I see a lot eastern europe companys ( contributors ) who produce at least 100 images per day, you need at least 5-10 people to make such amount.
it is ok if you make 700 images /week, 10.000 is too much, they produce 5% of all images.
I think first 100 contributor made too much images, what do you think?

It is not the problem oktober. November, december, january i sold 1000 images in PP, they were all 0.28$ Apologies are always appreciated , but this is only the first step.
but the error was made by iStock , this is the risk of doing business. Istock has made ??mistakes and I do not see why I have to pay for his mistakes . Istock will assume the burden of this failure . So this will be a GREAT incentive for it to NOT COMMIT more mistakes like that. My job : to make images that may have market , load them (in their mode cumbersome and slow), I have this job done properly. THEIR job : to sell my images , to correctly calculate royalties and distribute them in a timely manner . This work Istock has done wrong. WHY I have to pay for a job that someone else has done wrong ? They are mistaken his own work and I have to pay for this mistake. If I 'm wrong in my work, I pay directly the consequences. But what I did wrong in my work ? NOTHING This mechanism that istock has put together is deeply wrong I repeat, do not ever again shortly nullla and retire all of my images. I do not understand why I have to be treated so badly by a microstock .
Why do you think its normal to keep money that isnt yours? Honest question. In my opinion, it doesnt work like that with any company.
If the taxman makes a mistake, you have to pay it back When items in a store are priced differently, you pay the register price, even when its more expensive When utilities make a mistake you have to pay them back.
I once was undercharged for my gas bill due to their error, and still needed to pay the money, I protested but all they did was give me payback scheme to soften the blow.
ETA: Being overpaid by your employer or a mistake from the bank will also be corrected and the money has to be returned.

Istock is US firm? If this is true it is steal. Can someone call police and notice all major media . We must be loud now. They are stealing! please call the police, this is fraud! this is a bad taste joke and it can't be right... just unbelievable how can they do this!?
PP for Sep 2013 - 56.51$ PP for Oct 2013 - 83.81$
Over Payment Total=$83.88 Monthly Recoup Amount=$13.98
does this mean I have made 7 cents in October?

PP in December was significantly higher than usual for me, though less than October's reported PP earnings. Depending on the amount of the clawback, it could be my BME for the PP. Regular earnings this January are slightly above average.
SS up 20%, istock total down 45%, i dont believe that can be such difference.
