I tried uploading a picture to the new assignment, but yesterday it was approved as an ordinary file. Bit of a mess.

The 2010 credits on the other hand are quite nice. So far this year my RPD is 3,77 $ on DT.

General Stock Discussion / Re: last will and testament . do you + stock images ?« on: January 09, 2010, 07:16 »
The inheritance laws in my country are quite simple: everything (up to a couple of millions) go to the spouse. When he or she dies, it goes to the kids (you can't disinherit your children, they all get an equal share). Since these also are my models, it is natural to leave any potential income to them. So if the agencies accept the laws in the different countries without a will, I don't see the need to write one.

-Get accepted by SS. (Step 1: get the ID accepted, they declined the first one)
-Reach 1000 $ in overall earnings. (The result for 2009 is more than 200% over the goal we had, hoping for the same result next year) -Finalize the split between our (my and my husbands) ports (no split between the persons, only affects the copyrights of the pictures ![]() 282
Dreamstime.com / Re: Most searched for with fewest results« on: December 15, 2009, 06:52 »
I often browse through the "latest searches" on dreamstime and check which of these have few hits. I have found a couple of niches that were almost empty. I also left a comment about this to the reviewer when I uploaded the pictures, and have not recieved any "not stockworthy"-rejections on these pictures, even though they are not the typical "smiling girl with headphones".

Dreamstime.com / Re: New Pricing from Dreamstime« on: December 15, 2009, 06:38 »
I see a pattern, but I don't understand it. Some pictures sell only as subs (e.g. my obesity series), while my iceberg pictures have a RPD of close to 2$. Could it be that the iceberg pics are used to illustrate news stories (the last sale had the keywords "climate change"), while the sub sales go to commercials?

It's almost two weeks since we uploaded a few pics there, but nothing happens. Is there a button I have forgotten to click, have they taken an early christmas holiday, or are they normally this slow to review the pictures?

It's a mobile phone number, so it should be theoretically possible that someone is carrying that phone around with them, even when they go to lunch.

I have seen these pictures in a lot of magazines and online news papers. Usually there is a large quality difference between colourbox-pictures and pictures from e.g. istock.

Do your government want you to report the income you have earned, or the income you have recieved? We report the latter. This means that (if I didn't need the money asap, and I earned enough to get past the hobby-regulations) I could keep all my money at the stock sites, and collect them when it would be benificial to do so for tax reasons, e.g. a year my other income was low and my expenses were high.

I've just recently grown up and started getting used to coffee, after 15 years with tea. So far I've been drinking cocoa with a little bit of instant coffee. But a real espresso machine and bean grinder is on the wish list for christmas (together with a chain saw and wood chopping machine. Feminine? Me?)

General Stock Discussion / Re: How to get your earnings with the least possible fees (Outside the U.S.)« on: September 27, 2009, 06:20 »
Payoneer only charges the monthly fee if there is money on your account. So if you withdraw everything the same month as you get the money, the price for one withdrawal would be:
2$ monthly fee 2,15 $ ATM fee up to 2,2% above market rates, based on the current exchange rates. I don't know what that would mean in real money? Right now I wouldn't withdraw anything in Norway, since the exchange rate for dollars is at a all time low; 5,8 NOK for one dollar. You would loose more because of this than because of any banking fees. 297
Dreamstime.com / Re: More than usual rejections from Dreamtime« on: September 25, 2009, 15:46 »
I would have had 100% acceptance this month if I had remembered to explain that the object I photographed was mass produced, and not a single work of art. But who knows, copyright is a difficult question. So with 15 out of 16 approved, for me DT has improved lately (or I have improved

English is not my first language, so I get a bit confused about when I should use the different terms. When do you keyword picture with baby, toddler, preschooler, etc.? Is baby up to one year, or two? Can I lable a picture with both preschooler and toddler? Are child and baby conflicting terms?
