Looked this morning, the stock was at $50 a share which I still think is high, at least 20% over what it should be.
How did you come up with the 20% figure?
It's $50 a share, my personal feeling is, the stock would be a good long term value at $40. I look for stocks that have growth over time potential, stability, not fast ups and downs based on some hype or news. Roughly speaking the SSTK dropped to $35 last year, but now it's $50 = over valued.
So it's a guess based on emotion, and not financial analysis? :-)
If I was answering, I'd feel the same based on the stock dropping below $35 last year, the financials not as good as expected 1stQ and for what I read here, nearly every day. If the last part is, we're losing but SS is winning and gaining, that's a sad situation. How can our income not be related to the company income.

I don't think they care one bit about contributors at this point. I wish there was an opt-out button.
That got a plus and a question. Opt out of what? Just close your account, that's an opt out choice, I did at most, but I admit I still work SS for the money. That's a personal sell out, not an opt out.

Seems some photos nicked from SS have been bought - or at least watermark removed - but not all. Istock and Adobe still clearly watermarked....!
If I had shot those photo's I'd be ashamed if somebody had bought them.
why?
because some of these stock photos are indeed ridiculous.
And why the first description says showing on facebook with #BadStockPhotosOfMyJob but I wasn't sure that rock nuzzling is a profession?

Mine was in the spam folder too. This is the only stock site that leaked my mail. I read on their forums and they just replied to people with something like yes this is phishing, don't open it.
I hope they go out of business, irresponsible don't care don't answer. They are becoming one of the worst after being one we could trust for personal managers.

Hi, When I look at the Microstock Poll Results-earnings rating I can see number 22,1 for iStock and 267,3 for iStock exclusive. Can somebody explain what that exactly means?
The IS exclusive that took the poll, could be 4 people, make 10X what 85 non exclusive makes. Hover over name 100 here like Dreamstime, only 58 sell on Deposit.

When set on Popular, not new, SS gives almost identical results to IS and Fotolia. What was your point? Sorry, Shade Sue already asked the same question.
my poi wa the shutter stock has 3 times images of stock...beacuas mostly they accept any customer and any photo...new images on ss are appalling hundreds of repetition....that'swhy any mental safe customer doesn't use the new tabs and why we keep selling mostly old images, and new images don't sell....in stock 80% of sales fromfeb are from files uploaded in the last year, and view statistic tell me exactly that mostly new files are viewed. this is important if you want grow quality content. in ss i grow only because old files keep selling but really small revenue come from new work.
Where can I see view statistics on Shutter?
in shutter i don't know....in stock there is view on esp....in stock only 5 10% of files are older than 2 years...in shutter stock practically only old files sells. sure you can have the nice image sold every day....but again my best seller in last 1 year and 3 months is a photo of dubai landmark, and not even commercial but editorial...has sold 408 times so far mostly sub but also 25 times sod and 2 el...so according to the post before considering dubai has literally 1000000000 photos i shouldn't have sold...
But it wasn't just any Dubai it was a specific landmark. How many is that search? You say according to views on SS but there are no views on SS. Or do you mean views on a different site which means nothing to do with SS because you don't know the views. ESP views you decide are SS views? Keep shooting your better lighted cheesecake. You don't listen when someone tries to help. Your superiour 1 of 44,000 cheesecake will surely make you rich, because it's better and new. But new doesn't sell you say? You're right, new doesn't sell if there are already 50,000 of the same identical search, and your new much better copy can't get seen.

Out of interest how many views do you need on Flickr to get $25?
Promoted images are for gaining further exposure, more subscribers etc and are not compulsory to use. It's similar to advertising for Facebook likes but unlke Facebook your reach isn't reduced. Also useful if you are selling photos for example
I've never been paid for a view anywhere, including the Micro sites. Clickasnap could be the exception. .0014 cent a view if someone looks for 5 seconds? Why do you charge 5 cents to promote views on your site? I'd need 35 views to break even. Pay per view, but we pay to have people view. How does that work out.

Could this be the reason for their spectacular crash? https://www.law360.com/articles/1027583/stock-photo-co-says-google-search-shuts-out-non-partners
"Dreamstime said its troubles started in the second half of 2015, when Google allegedly used its monopoly power in online search advertising to boost up Shutterfly while bumping down other stock photo sellers. In February 2018, Google struck a similar deal with Getty Images, and Dreamstime said its expecting more of the alleged algorithm changes to occur, pushing it further into search result oblivion, according to the suit."
(Question - I wonder when the article refers to Shutterstock if they mean Shutterfly?)
Their dates kinda jive with my own decline. And SS did have a bump for me starting in about May 2015.
Except if you read the SS here, sales are bad for the last two years there too. Shutterfly is a POD site. Dreamstime is taking it's last breath and wants to sue in case they can get a last payout before closing. Maybe Google will just buy them and have that Microstock site that people keep saying Google wants to build. That's also the claimed reason why others are falling, because Google wants that business. But Google has no stock site that I know? If they are pushed into oblivion why are the numbers still up here? Something wrong with that. Is somebody lying on the poll to make DT look better? I don't know anyone doing good sales on DT.

Same here, uploaded yesterday, image not showing anywhere.
Does anybody understand how long 72 hours is? I think when nothing is showing after that, clear cache and look again. If they show on mobile and not laptop the answer could be that simple. Everybody else can see them, which is more important then us seeing them. Are they in the search? That's what counts. 3 days is 3 days. Anything else is just faster, and they can disappear and come pack during that time. How long does it take to count to 290 million on computers all over the world?

Most of my SODs were smaller, some as low as 50. Very few large ones. But they ALL dried up on March 20. The drop was really startling. Up until then my subs sales had been gradually shifting more and more to small SODs. All you have to do is buy an image pack...they're not all enterprise sales.
Everything is lower, lower subs, lower SODs, we still get the same percentage, just a lower number to start. I don't see things getting better.

Wow Pete only 17,000 more views with that 5 second catch and you'll have $25, maybe? They will promote you if you pay, which means pay per view at your expense is here. We can pay to work for nothing now.

I've learned something about Google advertising recently because I tried running some ads for print sales. And I've had exchanges with people who know more about it. Many advertisers have concluded that it's a waste of money and that Google is running all sorts of games. You have no way of knowing what you're actually getting for your money, Google can show you any numbers they want, you can't verify anything.
I've heard the same including unusual views and click farms to make Google more money as you use your budget. Same 3 results as others but using dogpile I hit this one https://dockets.justia.com/docket/california/candce/5:2018cv01910/324533/ nothing more. Dreamstime.com, LLC v. Google, LLC Put that into Bing and many.

If anyone is interested...

Can someone move Dreamstime down in the ranking on this site as it's misleading. They are abysmal. My balance looks the same from week to week.
They aren't doing a good job of that on their own? DT is double BS both are just dead, but look at the count how many keep selling on those. When DP and 123 are ahead that's a sure sign that the end is near.

If it wasnt for a few EL's it would qualify for the worst week in my 14 years with SS!
hahaha! good one Minsc!! .........actually they are cutting the servers, blocking huge parts in Europe, mainly over night but even during certain hours of the day!
If you are getting four figures from the boutique, the trads, macro, and your own professional business, why do you bother with Micro at all?

No reviews, no plan, nothing after a month. Locating artists is easy, running a site takes some more then we want to run a site. Another DOA idea. Don't waste your time.
