Here is my reason. I make money....Maybe not as much as I think I am worth, but it is real spending money. Seems like everything sells eventually. My old images still sell and my new ones sell. Maybe not what I think they are worth but they sell. I like the idea that these images are published somewhere. Ever once in a while I see one the internet or even at the grocery store. It still gives me a rush to see one published. Hard to get a rush just looking at my old hard drive. I will keep doing it as long as they keep sending me money. I do wish they would send more money but some is better than none. PS it is a lot more fun selling photos than siting in a corporate cubicle.

Anyone sold any photos on Wemark ? I see they list 130,000 images.

Most likely some 19 years old code writer with green hair. Most likely a future Democrat.

Figured it out...no help from 123...They changed their upload system. On the lower bottom left side on their site in very small print, which is new to their site . Click on 123 contributors... Now upload works and revenue shows.

I also can not upload. Also my sales revenue do not show anymore. Yes I do have sales there. Are they going out of business ? E-mail them no response ?

I am on both. Shutterstock sells about 12 times to Bigstock. Some of my images that never sell on Shutterstock sell on Bigstock.

I have made one sale this year and three sales last year. As stated on this thread , not much sales . How dose this site stay in business. I still upload to them . Not sure why I do. I guess I like wasting my time.

Sounds like you need to talk to a tax account. I would also have some type of written agreement with your second photographers about ownership of images.

I tweet some of my stock accounts. Not really sure it helps but maybe folks open up my sites and I get more views. Views may or may not help in placement of photos in sites. The price to tweet is free so why not.

Just got my ID approved. it took about 3 months. No other word on what or when site will open. So far not very good communication.

My iStock sales are 1-3 hundred each month. Clearly not enough to be rich. For the last couple of years I have come to the conclusion I will not make a living doing this. I now put all my monthly earnings in a Fidelity stock market account. Maybe in 4 or 5 five years it will double in value. This makes my low photo stock earning look a little better.

If they are travel type photos of good quality they will sell. I sell a few editorial each day but clearly I am not getting rich from them.

My ID is still not approved after two months. No idea about my images I have uploaded. Have I wasted my time once more ?

Maybe you payment will not be traceable as it is crypto currency. Then if you make no sales no worry about taxes.

I just watched the utube video. A lot of talk about their crypto currency but no defined info on how they will sell our images. I fell like I may have wasted my time uploading images to them. we will see.

I am guessing Emilia Clarke started out doing cheesy stock and now dose nudes each week on HBO. I bet the nudes pay better now.

Now with the internet you really don't need big images. Even printing prints or big billboards you don't need that big of file because of digital technology getting so advanced these days. I shoot with Nikon D810 and always downsize for the stock photo sites. My images sell very well as still do some of my first Nikon D1 images which I think was a 6MP camera. In stock for my experience size really dose not matter that much. Spend your money on photo ideas not the biggest cameras....W. Scott McGill

Got this e-mail this morning. "My name is Benji Lanyado and Im the founder of Picfair. I wanted to let you know that over the coming weeks, Picfair is opening a crowdfunding campaign - this will allow members of the public to invest in Picfair in return for an equity stake in our business. Youll be able to own a part of Picfair for as little as 10."
I sent back my reply that I had been with them for two years and zero sales. I think I have about 1400 images or so with them. I don't think I will invest today. W.Scott McGill

Yes I pay taxes on my stock photo income. Most if not all the sites send me a 1099 tax form in February. I don't like paying it but I also deduct expense items like props, camera equipment, computer equipment, mileage , and anything else I can think of that is legit...... W. Scott McGill
